Kesler better prove his worth...what a low blow by Clarke (should expect nothing less out of the guy). I hope he realizes what he's unleashed on the league when every one of his young guys is poached over the next couple years. What a tool to offer such a contract. Nonis should have let him take it ...

Berts gone guys...even if he did come back the "question" would resurface. Had he gotten over "the incident," was he a changed man. This is the best situation for both parties. I agree with MCP, I hope he destroys the division and has a carreer year. Bert's one of my favorite players of all time, up...

Hard to trade away? Try impossible! The ONLY way this works for them is if he turns into a superstar, which he has shown no sign of doing thus far. Either way, cash for life sums up this deal very nicely.

An Allen-Mitchell combo on the backend. That would be painful for some unlucky soul(s).

Hughes is a beast. Penn is an injury replacement. Hughes will dominate this fight.

Personally, I think if one of our stars gets a cheap shot then the offender should be jumped/smashed in the face/gooned immidiatly following. I think if Cooke smashed out the front set of chicklets the message would be pretty clear. The whole notion of having your goon fight the other goon is so Jun...

No bombshell there, but it's nice to finally hear what Bert was thinking now there's no pressure to follow the corporate line. Don't know if I agree with what he sais, he's a real team guy though, gotta give him credit for that.

I don't believe that for one second. The cancer in the dressing room was the media after every game. I agree that the media plays a hand, but where there's smoke, there's usually fire. On the issue of the Captain...I would much rather see it on the chest of a good Canadian, hard nosed, heart on the...

I would much rather spend my 450,000 on a player I can actually commit SOME minutes to, ie Burrows, rather than some jackass who sits for 59 minutes and MIGHT fight. And lets face it, watching a smaller guy man up and take a whooping does just as much for the guys on the ice as a goon thumping some ...

Last year was one of the classic "Murphy's law" seasons. Everything that could go wrong for the Canucks, did. In order of how badly they screwed the 'Nucks: 1) Injures. Yes it's a tired excuse, but look at who we lost for huge chunks of time. Cloutier, Jovo, Salo, Ohlund and Naslund wasn't right for...

agreed. Though I think the spotlight on him and "the incident" was more of a distraction than Bert himself.

pauser=loser. Oh...like your Big Bert is any better. Atleast I didn't jump someone from behind and fradulently hide my assets during pending civil litigation! lets not let this degrade further than it already has...go to a PANTHERS board if you wanna slag Bert, he's not on our team anymore. And for...

Loving the Burrows signing, cheap, 3 years...he's gonna have to have the fire for a while now in order to move up the salary charts. Screw King, the guy has done NOTHING to prove he is worth anything more than the minimum. One year, two way contract for 550 should be the most they'd consider. Like i...

Messier sucks. Is he actually still alive? I'm fairly convinced he's a closet homosexual.
