Re: GDT: April 6/19 Canucks @ Blues 1:00pm

Gerry is looking like a pretty good signing. Imagine if he wasn't a cyclops. Do we really need to sign Schenn? I say we only need one of Schenn or Biega as an AHL call-up. Did you see Schenn in to protect Petey? Definitely think they should bring him back. The guy has done an excellent job of watch...

Re: OOTS 2018-2019

Instead of 6-8 teams willing to give him $10-12M per year, you might only have 2-3... someone will pay him top dollar. Well-said! Come on IN, join us and drink the EKoolaid! I've never been opposed to signing EK. He's arguably the best UFA of the cap era. I just don't think he'll come here. I see h...

Re: OOTS 2018-2019

A groin injury this season ain't affecting nothing brobro, EK make no doubt it will get paid market value. Sure it does Broham - the price for EK after an 80 point season (which was in striking distance) is far different from the price for EK after a 52 game season. Injuries are a top concern with ...

Re: Canucks Young Guns

I would like to see the CBA rules changed for college players. It should be senior season +1 before they can go to UFA. An excellent idea and one that I think would "weed out" the bad attitudes. Alas the colleges won't like it. Good thing the colleges don't matter. It's entirely up to the players. ...

Re: Canucks Young Guns

Rick Dhaliwal @DhaliwalSports Will Lockwood on @Sportsnet650 on returning to Michigan : "I talked with Mr Benning and Mr Johnson, things don't change for me, the goal is to still play in Vancouver at the end of next year. I also want to leave a little bit of a legacy in Michigan" AND Rick Dhaliwal ...

Re: Around the league (signings, RFAs injuries)

How much of the "nightlife" news about players in this league is just fabricated BS? They are 20-something kids with big fat bank accounts. They are going to party. So long as they aren't Kassian level addicts and abusers, and they still bring their A-game, then it's their own business. What you di...

If I was an Oiler living in Edmonton I’d one up the night life there and hit the crack houses
Shittier climate aside, how would that differ from your current life as a tradesman in Vancouver?

It’s like Benning had 3 extra draft picks this year.
Yeah, if those picks were in the 8th round and beyond...
 was gonna say... like adding extra picks from the 2013 draft. Free Jordan Subbans or Anton Cenderholm.

Can’t hurt, but shouldn’t be a green light to trade 17/18 year olds.

Re: Around the league (signings, RFAs injuries)

How much salt could it be in the wound if McDavid and Hall are both invited to the World Championship team and get to play together and absolutely destroy as linemates? I sometimes shudder to think what could have been there with them as a duo. Hall is one of the few guys that could actually skate ...

Re: OOTS 2018-2019

Breaking news! The Oilers are losing tonight! Island Nucklehead, your thoughts? They suck. Their former manager(s) was worse than our current one. They have two of the best players in the league, and are still managing to be an absolute dumpster fire. And they’ve won one less game then we have.

Re: 2019 NHL ENTRY DRAFT - Vancouver

I have no idea how successful, or unsuccessful, he will be in landing another first. I just know that, that is his priority heading into he draft. It's all about driving up excitement for the upcoming ticket drive. I don't know what assets he is willing to part with to acquire that 1st. The followi...

Granlundicious Hunter Stinkcarrot! Where is he? Island Nucklehad hated trading Shrunkcarrot. Beauty asset management by Jimbro Really liking Leivo, Pearson and Schenn! Re: Canuck News and Notes - 2018-2019

Lockwood's coaches were really pushing him to return to college for one more year. The weaknesses in his game are mostly about his puck distribution, using the full ice and his line mates more. This is teachable. They also felt another year where he can build strength rather than play 80 games woul...

Some interesting tidbits on Hockey Night in Canada.

The Great:
Luongo looking to go on LTIR/medically retire next season. No recapture for Vancouver.

The Good?
Canucks looking to extend Schenn (1-year deal).

The Bad
Lockwood going back to school for his senior year.
