Re: OK, So What I have been told

Still remorseful about Cody, ey? :look: Given the moves at the deadline - especially the trade for Sami P - I think we can assume that GMMG % Co have made a very different evaluation of what went wrong in the SCF last year. Curious to know if some of that 'evaluation' you seem to be a fly on the wa...

Re: OK, So What I have been told

Of course Pahlsson is as limited as Hodgson, it's just that he is limited to being the type of player that offers exactly what the organization wanted from its third line center. I think exactly what we need right now dan bob rick is offense, not defense, and besides, with the way we've been gettin...

Re: OK, So What I have been told

Few thoughts: 1) Couldn't one argue that Pahlsson is just as "unadaptable" as Hodgson but for entirely different reasons? Neither guy can really play wing, and as "unfit" as Hodgson would be in a shutdown role, Pahlsson is just as "unfit" to be counted on to score goals.....just incase there were i...

Re: OK, So What I have been told

Sure, he did score 29 when Daniel was injured and he didn't know who to feed the puck to and ended up having to shoot himself,. So then here is a question I have for the Shut Down Fan Base such as yourself Per. When at a time the Canucks are struggling to Ripple The Mesh in an unbelievable fashion,...

Re: OK, So What I have been told

Here is one thing that annoys me a bit. Despite the fact that we now have Pahlsson, Malhottra, and Lapierre, it is still Ryan Kesler that is our very best shut down forward in the line up. Last year against Chicago....it wasn't Lapierre going up against Toews.....it was Kesler. And to be quite fran...

Re: Avalanche @ Canucks - Mar 28 - 7:00PM PST - SPAC

I really think AV and Newell Brown have more than a couple of PP systems and plays up their sleeves. Brown is too good a strategist and the players are too creative to be this bad at adapting to opposing PKs. That would explain why they keep going for the drop pass on the neutral zone break-ins whe...

Re: OK, So What I have been told

the concerns over his goal totals would be much more valid. Here is my theory, Pot Pourri. The off-season heading into last season, Kesler famously worked on his shot in his garage like some OCD Crack Addict, marking up of the gypsum like Bryan Adams cratered face. Completely mastering a wrist shot...

If memory serves me correct, I think my first post was responded to in a negative manner. I can't even remember, wasn't the internet back then called Netscape? And the big search engine Webcrawler?

Fine and dandy, I just worry about our goalies getting lit up in the playoffs, like they did against the Blackhawks and Boston. Trust me, the elite teams will score on us.

Re: OK, So What I have been told

I think it's reasonable to expect a dropoff in production from the Sedins and Kesler but hopefully that will be offset by contributions from Booth/Higgins. In simplest terms, we have lost two 40 goal scorers this year but (minus time lost to injuries) have five 20+ goal scorers. How is it reasonabl...

Re: OK, So What I have been told

Not that you give a shit about the facts, but Franzen and Fillpula both see more ice time than any Canuck forward (outside of the first line and Kesler) and are producing marginally more than Higgins and Booth.. Hudler produces just about the same as Higgins and Booth and Bertuzzi, Cleary and Holms...

Re: OK, So What I have been told

Overall I like our forward depth a lot more this year. Booth is a significant upgrade of our top 6 and Higgins has simply been outstanding this year (though he was playing great in the playoffs last year until the broken foot). I think it's reasonable to expect a dropoff in production from the Sedi...

Re: OK, So What I have been told

All good points but Sedin, Sedin and Kesler all look like about 75% of their last season selves. 75% is a generous number IMHO. Hank - 2 goals in 35 games!? Kesler? 41 goals? Where did they go? Where is Dank on the scoring leader list? We didn't replace Erhoff's offense from the back end, (Please, ...
