Mike Sillinger has always struck me as a bit of a poofter (not that there's anything wrong with that!). I'm not sure what it is. Being in his mid/late 30's, unmarried, travelling from city to city and constantly playing on different teams.....I just get the feeling that there's "more than meets the...

I think they just have to tone down on the defensive responsibility attitude. Since most of the guys on this team are stonehanded PK specialists it seems to make sense to play to the strengths of your personnel, but for a few games I would like to see the Nucks sell out a bit more. Send a few guys o...

Well said, I agree 100%. Luongo always struck me as the kind of guy who did better when he was getting shelled and staying active. He isn't facing the constant shots that he did in Fla and is being required to play a different game. I'm sure he will adjust but it almost seems like the Canucks system...

Given our options I think he should get a couple more chances. He does seem to settle down after the pressure is off, but for a team that has trouble scoring goals a goalie that puts the team behind right off the bat isn't very compatible. He obviously isn't NHL calibre at this point but he is on th...

Perfect illustration of an organization who really knows their customers and is able to leverage that knowledge into new product offerings that will appeal to their core market. I've always thought that Leaf fans were a bunch of fags but I never suspected that the Leaves would actually recognize tha...

Im on the total opposite page. If anyshing we should try and move Naslund to Philly for some of their young talent. This team is in a rebuild and taking on the highpriced contract and injury issues of Forsberg is not an option.

Just one more reason for removing the instigator rule. You won't be ever to completely legislate what is a clean hit and what is intent to injure, and in many cases they are not mutually exclusive. Most guys have enough respect for other players not to try and kill someone even if they can, but for ...

Salo only makes 1.5 so it won't be freeing up much space but his next contract should be around 3mill at the minimum and we can't afford that. I think we have to be willing to sacrifice this season for the future. Go with what we have, or if the right trade comes along take it, and if we make the PO...

never say never, but if ohlund were to be traded it better be one hell of a package coming back. i'd rather hang on for awhile and trade salo for some picks and prospects since we can't afford to put more money into our D.

I agree. Ideally Bourdon should be in the AHl this year but that is not an option. Personally I would put him back to junior just for the WJC and to "let him dominate" as DN said last year (Bourdons injury & being traded kind of screwed up his chance to really dominate last year). With a taste of th...

I think we all knew before the season , including Nonis, that the farm was not going to produce much of a harvest this year. We have had one of the weaker farm systems in the NHL for the past few years and bringing up burrows, bieksa and green pretty much depleted what little we had. The only real m...

As has been mentioned, there are a lot of variables that need to be clarified before we know how expendable Salo is. I really like what he brings to the team but I don't think we will be able to keep him after this season. I really doubt the cap will be increasing much, if at all, and Salo is radica...

Veteran guys like Chouinard have been around long enough to know that the preseason means absolute shit to guys with guaranteed contracts. It'd be nice for everyone to light it up, but in reality an NHL season is long and grueling and I'd prefer guys who can stay healthy and peak during the stretch ...

Obviously there are alot of factors involved in any trade decision, but to say Naslund will absolutley not get traded or that DN doesn't have the guts after he fired Crow, traded Bert and let Jovo go?
