Re: Shane Doan

My thinking is that since the CBA expires on the 15th no new contracts will be allowed because there will not be an existing CBA to which you can sign a player under terms of same. But that is just me thinking out loud. Anyone know for sure. For what it's worth I have read that no contracts can be ...

40 years ago today - game 4. Paul Henderson: WOT a pussy! Not to mention a revisionist... So Paul, the players never saw nor heard Phil's whining, but "Oh what a leader, if only we had heard that!" Yes but you DIDN'T hear it so guess wot: NOT A FACTOR ! It wasn't the 16,000 boo birds that wo...

Re: Best NHL Leaders of All Time

Doc I started watching hockey as a 6 year old in 75-76........I can't comment on anyone before then. I will go with what I have seen as the top leaders of their teams over the years Steve Yzerman Denis Potvin Wayne Gretzky Larry Robinson Joe Sakic Chris Chelios Mario Lemieux Nik Lidstrom Bryan Trot...

http://www.usatoday.com/sports/hockey/nhl/predators/story/2012-09-05/shea-weber-final-contract/57610386/1 was this expected?? YES, he was signed to an offer sheet, you can't include NTC/NMC in an offer sheet. After the Preds matched, Weber's agent had the unmitigated gall to ask Preds for a NTC/NMC...

Re: Luongo will Waive NTC If Asked To

Actually, looking at the quality of teams Schneider faced over the last 2 years (which I broke down about 100 pages ago - short version is Schneider faced hardly any playoff-bound teams), I would have thought Schneider was being pumped up for a trade. Yes, I am aware of the Boston and Chicago games...

Re: Best NHL Leaders of All Time

These lists are hard to take serious when the names Robinson, Potvin and Chelios aren't on most or all of the lists. All three are easily top 10 in the last 40 years. I've got Potvin at #4 on my list in the OP. I seriously considered Chelly for my Top 10, he's prolly 13th. A case could be made for ...

Re: Best NHL Leaders of All Time

Yeah Doc, Cookie Monster with skill, but when push came to shove, he cowered behind Schultz. That's not leadership, that's chicken shit. This thread is about leaders rather than fighters, but Clarkie had 35 - 42 NHL fights (depending upon which of the 2 links you prefer). Although not that big, he ...

Thank god we didn't waste money and cap space on this overrated and aging power forward.

Enjoy the sun Shane, and the losing!

The rest of the NHL, particularly the owners can go fuck themselves.
