Re: Shane Doan

Doan visited Phili today, after his NY visit yesterday.

His itinerary is showing his areas of interest.

Re: Gillis. Who is He?

I'm not sure why it's hard to understand why most of us support the players and management when they are here and will turn on them as soon as they leave. Seems fairly logical to me. I support the team, and the people contributing to it's success. Opportunities to replace personnel with those that ...

Re: Shane Doan

Best find a good distraction then.

Serious CBA negotiations haven't begun.

Clearly Doans lifestyle and living arrangements in Phoenix is a huge leap from what we would denote as big city.

The point is clear, I don't understand the discussion.
It's the 85% rule.

Re: RFA Voracek

Voracek is interesting. So is the RFA option in general.

I'd prefer to go for the gusto. Offer Evander Kane 36m$ over 6 yrs, with a sizable chunk of that in bonus money.

We may have to trade assets to the Peg to have the deal completed, but he can definitely help us.

Re: NHL sends CBA termination notice!

'Hockey is a sport ruled by deadlines. When do most trades happen? At the trade deadline. How many guys sign free-agent contracts before July 1? Not that many. The CBA doesn't end until Sept. 15. It's going to take time." That said, by refusing to throw the players a little something, Bettman gave ...

Re: Shea Weber Accepts Offer Sheet from Phi (14 Years, 100 M

I suppose what I am saying is that having been a moderator on a board much like this for a dozen or more years, thus reading threads from beginning to end on a fairly continual basis, the phenomenon, from my perspective, is not uncommon. No worries. I’m 1% sure that hockey withdrawal, salary envy, ...

With a twist of paraphrase to make it look like something original was added. I'm 99% sure that 85% of the time it is because people don't read what is already posted but rather rush to post their own "original" thoughts. I'm 100% sure that this phenomenon has transpired the entire time I have been...

I’m 91% sure that over 50% of the posts in this thread are a rehash of what others have already stated.

Re: Shea Weber Accepts Offer Sheet from Phi (14 Years, 100 M

Philadelphia would be eligible to trade Weber at any time, but Nashville would have to wait a year. Weber's concern over uncertainty (& the new CBA) seems to have outweighed negotiating better contract terms (NTC, NMC) as a UFA. Holmgren gets some good PR, even if he doesn't get Weber. Time for Nas...

Re: Luongo will Waive NTC If Asked To

I really do not want Patrick Kane. I wish it were the classic case of a 'player you hate, but would love on your team' with Kane but it isn't. Latest rumor has the New York Islanders in on the Lou Sweepstakes. Griffin Reinhart? Ryan Strome? Nederietter? Fuck, who is on the team other than John Tava...

Re: Gillis. Who is He?

.... Ever since Gillis took over this team has done a terrible job at managing their players injuries, ie Hodgson's back, Daniel Sedin, regarding "does he have a concussion or not". The fact that Kesler seems to need surgery every summer and the same can be said for Burrows. A bit weird that Kesler...
