Re: Trade rumours & armchair pipe dreams 17-18 Sponsored by SKYO

To get the first, my guess is 7th Boeser Demko That might not even be enough, and it's too much already. There are only a handful of dmen hyped like Dahlin. Generational like what McDavid is as a forward but on D. It's near impossible to find those players via trade or free agency. Think of it this...

Re: Trade rumours & armchair pipe dreams 17-18 Sponsored by SKYO

Blackhawks aren't trading the 8th for taking Saad. His salary is 6.7 mil per year with 3 years left. He's under 25 years old on June 1 which means it's 1/3 buyout on about 20mil remaining - it'll cost the Hawks 6.6 mil over 6 years to buy him out. They'll save an average of 5.5 in cap space over the...

Re: Trade rumours & armchair pipe dreams 17-18 Sponsored by SKYO

Jesus the team already has Sutter, Eriksson, Hutton, Gagner, and Gudbranson siphoning almost 19 million for a third line and a bottom d pairing and you want to add Ryan to that? LOL Aquilini will be stoked Ryan's contract is buy out friendlier than others. They can probably wait a year to buy him o...

What would they want for Ryan + 4th overall pick? Could the Canucks pull it off and keep their 7th?
No boeser
No Horvat
No Gaudette
No juliovie
No Pettersson
No ??
No Demko?
No Virtanen?

How about sending back Dahlen, Tanev and a 2nd.

Re: Draft Lottery Winner

As for Tkachuk vs Juolevi pick, I don't see the Flames ripping it up, and Juolevi is coming onto the team exactly when the Canucks need a influx of quality dmen prospects. The Flames poor season has little to do with Tkachuk. It was a mistake. I think Elmer would admit that..Either way Olaf needs t...

Re: The 2018 NHL Entry Draft

Take the BPA, screw drafting for need until the 2nd round. Last two times the Canucks drafted for need they took (D) Juolevi over (W) Tkachuk and (C) McCann over (W) Pastrnak. Imagine this team with a top 5 of Pastrnak - Horvat - Boeser Tkachuk - Petersson - _____ Jake/Goldy/Sven fit nicely into tha...

Every young player has buckets of blunders, some more, some less.

If Goldy's last name was Smith and his nickname was Smittty, nobody would have having this conversation.

Re: Canucks Young Guns

He's just coming off a hell of a long, record breaking, season. High intensity, high emotion. So like sure, let him play his ass off at the Worlds. Think maybe there might be some pissed-off players there? Has that been the case in the past? Ya. Push the kid to the limit. Let'a see what he's made o...

He doesn't score a hat trick in his first game and is immediately labeled a bust by the media.

Ya Benning had a trade Berglund straight up for Garrison. Garrison refused to waive to go there. A couple of days later Benning asked him again. Garrison said no. Next day the story gets leaked and the scrutiny is on and Garrison is getting bombarded by media. Benning asks him a third time. Garriso...

"He's a good two-way player," Bruins general manager Peter Chiarelli said of Eriksson. "He knows where to find the spots and score. [He] has a good shot, good release from either side. ... He spreads out your power play. He's fast and a good two-way player. There's a lot of his game that fits into ...

Re: From Bountiful to Ponoka

If the Canucks don't win the lottery, I want the Flames Islanders to win it. Of course getting Dahlin probably means Tavares resigns as that gives them a true #1D moving forward, all they'll need is that goalie. But the chaos that will arise next door will be entertainment at it's finest! Okay, mayb...

I'm with you on that one. Just imagine...

There have been good teams over the years with sketch defense that were superpowers.... Maybe we can be one of those. Think 2-peating Pittsburg
Imagine that top 9 with a 2018 NHL lottery win.

I may have just creamed myself.
