Re: Canucks News n Notes 2019-2020

to sleep— No more—and by a sleep to say we end the heartache and the thousand natural shocks that flesh is heir to—’tis a consummation devoutly to be wished! To die, to sleep. To sleep, perchance to dream—ay, there’s the rub, for in that sleep of death what dreams may come when we have shuffled off...

Re: The Official CC "All Thing Leaves" thread

It doesn't matter what Matthews, marner, JT or Nylander make, Leaves are not wasting a massive amount of their cap on avergae to mediocre players like the Canucks. When Auston Matthews gets named your worst contract, you are in pretty damn good shape. LOL Just look at some of the contrcats in the E...

Re: Canucks News n Notes 2019-2020

Good depth signing. I guess the question is; will he be willing to put in the hard work and have a good attitude in Utica? Hope so, cause he's, at this point, still one behind Biega, (different side), on the depth chart. I think the Canucks would prefer to have 2 of the 3 extras be defensemen (if t...

It wasn’t Lou’s fault.
It was the referees swallowing their whistles.
No it wasnt specifically his fault but he couldnt stop a beachball when his team needed him to. He certainly didnt help
You wouldn't be able to stop a beachball either without pumped tires.

This is an even more detailed version of what Dahlen has been saying and his thought pattern; https://canucksarmy.com/2019/03/05/jonathan-dahlen-deletes-social-media-due-to-hateful-messages-from-canucks-fans/ As for development, Dahlen is quoted in that article as saying, "I have not been able to d...

Re: 2019 offseason

Am I the only sane person here that thinks Goldy will and should be gone? I think he should be given another shot and see a lot in his game, but I still don't think its better than about a 1/4 chance that he works out to be a reliable top 6 guy in this league. Nothing insane about cutting bait on t...

Re: Canucks Young Guns

Looking for articles on Pettersson (I found a few, but behind pay walls that I don't want to sign up for) I stumbled across two short notices on Dahlén on the SVT (Swedish Television) website: Jonathan Dahlén about the hard times: ”I was being vilified” After the hard time in the AHL the hockey tal...

Re: 2019 offseason

I don’t think Goldobin clears waivers. If we sign him it will be on the cheap and his occasional offensive flashes will make him an enticing reclamation project for someone. If he doesn’t fit on the team in Benning, or Green’s eyes, I’d rather they move him for something. I don't think there would ...

Re: Offseason grades so far

. . Adam Gaudette was drafted to be a point producer not a defensive specialist or a penalty killer. If that is the role he's now expected to play, he should be traded. A fifth round draft pick is drafted to maybe possibly make it to the NHL. If he provides any special value to the NHL team (whethe...

Three more years of Beagle isn't looking very encouraging. https://canucksarmy.com/2019/04/29/canucksarmy-year-in-review-jay-beagle/ This article is a very negative portrayal but none the less, has accuracies that are notable. I didn't think that article was negative overall -it had the data to sho...

This will be a $9.5M AAV, with almost $45M in bonuses
That's crazy $9.5M AAV
What's crazy is how to spell that cat's name.

Re: 2019/20 Pacific Division

Coyotes getting a lot of love . Yes, they added the biggest name in the Pac with Kessel, but their leading scorer got 47 points, and nobody got 20 goals. And that was a season with almost no injuries. Lacked injury... sarcasm? Nick Schmaltz missed half the season. He was brought in to be a top line...
