Re: Vancouver's Hockey "Media"

Sportsnet 650 is likely pretty hamstrung by the amount of Leaves/Blue Jays/Raptors coverage they are obligated to do.

On the flipside, 1040 probably tilts more heavily to Lions coverage than is strictly necessary...

Re: Canuck News and Notes - 2018-2019

Goldobin is the kind of bait that might bring back some big hairy balls for Peteys wing(s).... Think about it! :mex: For that to happen, Goldobin needs to be "Hodgson-ed". 3 points in 11 games, and 0 in his past 9, as a top-6 winger isn't gonna fetch anything. Unfortunately, Goldy doesn't seem to p...

Re: GDT: Oct 24/18 Canucks at Vegas. 7:00 pm SN

Oh ya. First place in the Pacific!! There's another 6 game roady in a couple weeks, they'll have played 1/3rd of their road games by Nov 15. Getting the roadies out of the way can be a good thing, but it's also where we tend to pile up injuries cause guys get tired and beat up. The little nagging t...

That is just too funny.

1st in the Pacific, after getting through a grinding schedule.

Blob, I think you better re-read the last 2 pages - nobody "attacked" you, you "attacked" Topper for some reason, and are now electing to play the victim card.

Or who knows, maybe you are just drunk.

Re: Canuck News and Notes - 2018-2019

I think the issue from Demko's camp may be more that by getting on the plane and reporting to Utica, he is now collecting his AHL salary while injured, not his NHL salary. This would make sense if he reported being healthy when sent down - had he been forthcoming and said he wasn't feeling right sti...

Re: The Rebuild...

To me, Tryamkin is still the most exciting defensive prospect in the franchise. He was such a physical beast that he didn't need to arrive in shape, or get in fights or try to play "physical". He has the physical power to just destroy opponents without much effort, and nobody could fight him for ret...

I'm pretty surprised Kuzma would write such a piece.

Re: Canuck News and Notes - 2018-2019

A coworker was stating that in their opinion the EP slam was a hockey play and that no one should get concussed from such a move. So I invited him to the neighborhood Judo club on the condition that he let me throw him once. I taught him the break falls, which he didn't think he needed. Anyway one ...

Re: Canuck News and Notes - 2018-2019

Interesting observation, and worth looking up. They're 16th for Shots Against, and 6th for Shot Attempts Against: link But the concerning one is they're 30th for shot attempt differential at -88 through 6 games. However they are keeping fairly good company down there, with Anaheim (31st), NYI (28th)...

Lol. Ekblad’s fall from Grace.

I see the Oilers are losing....again. You go McDavid.
Spoke too soon RD, win 5-4 in OT.
Nurse in OT is the first Oiler to score this season without an assist from McDavid.

Talk about a rebuild model!

Other than the first 2 games, he's a PPG player again.

Who was talking about sending him down to Utica?

Re: Goaltending

My observation of the past 2 years has been that the goaltending decisions have always been reactive - Marky plays well, gets the next start, then the next, then plays horribly and Anders goes in. Anders plays well, gets the next start, plays horribly then back to Marky. The problem is, when either ...

And even better in Blob's books, this opens the door for Gaunce to get re-called!
