Re: When will the Canucks Next make the playoffs

Last year they were also healthy through the first 15.

This year there in the midst of injury apocalypse, and a difficult road-heavy schedule.

Re: 2019 NHL ENTRY DRAFT - Vancouver

I think the Kesler comparison for Gaudette is good, because remember how offensively inept Kesler seemed in his first couple of seasons.

Certainly nobody thought he'd turn into a 40-goal scorer in his prime. He just kept getting incrementally better offensively.

I can't believe Markstrom let in 6 goals, and we still won!

Re: NHL business

When can the NHLPA re-open the CBA, cause I’m thinking the players might want a piece of this pie. lock out just when the Canucks are getting good again... I looked into this, the gaming deals are "hockey-related revenue", so 50% of the money goes to the players via a raised cap. Still, I wonder if...

I think this is the year for the Canucks to just miss, and FINALLY win the goddam lottery!
LOL - you haven't been following this team for long, have you? :D
Dude, I'm a Canucks fan. Obviously I'm a sucker for misplaced optimism and crushed hopes.

Re: Canuck News and Notes - 2018-2019

Who knows though.... the West has a lot of teams looking like ass similar to 2014/15. Wuh oh, Blob's starting to hedge! I think he's starting to see the Genius in His works! But on a more sober note, every year since the new lotto odds were introduced, a team "wins" the lottery and shoots up to a t...

Re: The Official CC "All Thing Leaves" thread

IF the deal reaches projections - and the $200 million/year comes from a report Bettman commissioned as potential gaming revenue, not the revenue from this deal to license logos and stats - that would be around $3 mil in cap space. NHL does not get a share of gaming profits, they're only licensing ...

Gesus Christ. There will be nothing left of Tanev to trade. Hutton and Gudbranson have filled in decently but they are in over their heads if they have to consistently play 21 or 22 minutes. near 28 and 24 minutes respectively last night, 18+ for Pouliot and lil trojan Its strange, last October onc...

Re: Vancouver's Hockey "Media"

Sportsnet 650 is likely pretty hamstrung by the amount of Leaves/Blue Jays/Raptors coverage they are obligated to do.

On the flipside, 1040 probably tilts more heavily to Lions coverage than is strictly necessary...

Re: Canuck News and Notes - 2018-2019

Goldobin is the kind of bait that might bring back some big hairy balls for Peteys wing(s).... Think about it! :mex: For that to happen, Goldobin needs to be "Hodgson-ed". 3 points in 11 games, and 0 in his past 9, as a top-6 winger isn't gonna fetch anything. Unfortunately, Goldy doesn't seem to p...

Oh ya. First place in the Pacific!! There's another 6 game roady in a couple weeks, they'll have played 1/3rd of their road games by Nov 15. Getting the roadies out of the way can be a good thing, but it's also where we tend to pile up injuries cause guys get tired and beat up. The little nagging t...
