Re: The President's Trophy & Remaining Games

2 games to go. Tied with the Rangers for top spot overall. Rangers have the Penguins and Capitals on the menu, and I'll be surprised if they take 4 points away from those games. Pittsburgh is red hot lately, and Washington is in a fight for a playoff spot. We have Calgary and Edmonton on our card. B...

Re: GDT - Canucks vs Ducks 7PM PST TSN

That was the best I've seen Raymond look on a rush in a long time. He actually cut to the middle, let a wrister go instead of a slapper, and made Hiller squeeze a tough one. The only reason Anaheim is in this one is because of a couple of bad reads by Gragnani and some subpar play by Luongo. Win or ...

Re: The Playoff Picture

the Blues have always given us fits..... I agree; would not like to see this team up against a not-beat-up Blues or the Stars team in the first round. Any other team from the West, I'm not worried about, although a series against the Preds would likely turn out to be another grind-ey injury-produci...

Re: “The Most Hated Team in Hockey” Circle the wagons.

So Kassian owns a guy, then owns a guy. The hit was similar to the one Keith threw on Sedin. It wasn't clean. But it looks worse than it is because of the way Kassian spins off of the guy. The camera angle doesn't let me see if he jumped or if he left his feet as a result of the contact. Don't care ...

Re: GDT - Canucks vs Ducks 7PM PST TSN

I'm thinking that this is just one more nail in the coffin of Luongo's relationship and tenure here in Vancouver. He's really only at fault on one of those, Perry's goal was a backhander that is tough to stop but it was still short side when he was down early, and that 3rd goal did go right under h...

Re: GDT - Canucks vs Ducks 7PM PST TSN

Another thing on the goaltending tonight..... Schneider faced half the number of shots in 12+ minutes that Luongo saw in 27+ minutes. So the defense didn't tighten up once Schneider was between the pipes, Schneids just shut the door. Moreover, the team looked different out there. Sometimes the case ...

Re: GDT - Canucks vs Ducks 7PM PST TSN

Gragnani playing like Lever's photo on page 1. Be nice to see a little compete in a "tune up" game.....looks more like the Canucks just want a scrimmage. And as I type Burr with the goal - nice. Was worried their fortunes were sagging... Gotta disagree with ya there ncf..... I don't mind looking at...

Re: The Playoff Picture

There are only two teams in the West that scare me - Detroit AND Nashville. Luckily, it looks like they will play each other in the 1st round so really there is one team that scares me Detroit OR Nashville Even though we beat St. Louis 2-0 in our last meeting, outside of our 4-0 sweep in the openin...

Re: GDT - Canucks vs Ducks 7PM PST TSN

It comes as no surprise that this thread is already 5 pages in.....Donny knew what he was doing when he called out all the reprobates. It's almost a little sad that all the conversation has been so focussed on hockey and that his visual addition to his OP has been so brassierenly ignored. I hope Sal...

The word play in this thread couldn't be any more titivating.

Here's hoping we can squeeze another 2 points out of the Duck's.

Re: Why the Oilers "rebuild" is truly doomed

I actually like the way Edmonton is going. They should get another top pick/top young player this summer which will add to their core. Maybe stink one more year and they'll be set. In a few years, I think they'll being giving the canucks a lot of problems and challenge for the cup. 4 years from now...

Re: GDT MARCH 31 - VAN vs. The CAL - 7PM CBC

Mason still plays a valuable role on the team. He is a very good PK'er and his speed does back defenders off, but as I said, he has hit a plateau and plateauing in a contract year is never good. I still believe Mason fills an important role, is he replaceable though, damn right he is. If Paulson wa...
