Re: Trade rumours & armchair pipe dreams 18-19 Sponsored by SKYO

An interesting article from Canucks Army: https://canucksarmy.com/2018/06/27/analyzing-four-centres-the-canucks-could-target/ Wonder what it would take to pry Reinhart out of Buffalo. Given the stock they have at center in their organization, the price would be high but not exorbitant. Tanev and Ju...

Re: Canuck News and Notes - 2018-2019

And yet everything he posted was correct. Minus the run on sentences and punctuation mistakes. No one was arguing the accuracy of his post. I mean most of it is common sense but accurate none the less. I mostly just wanted to make sure he was ok. He took that shit personal though..... Not sure abou...

I'd just sign Beagle 3 x $2.25M, maybe $2.5M per and be done with it, what the team is buying is reliability. This way if Sutter gets injured Beagle can be the trusty reliable big 6'3-218lbs center, the whole point of having Sutter and Beagle is so the young centers up front can just solely concent...

Pouliot signs a 1 year, 1.1m deal. Not a bad 'show me' contract.
Yep. Bottom-pairing price for a guy that may have #4 potential.
And that’s a low bottom pairing price. That’s closer to 7th money. I wish Hutton had been signed for closer to that.

Re: From Bountiful to Ponoka

Cow puke going crazy with the trade. Lindholm and Hanifin for Hamilton, Ferland and Fox. I think they over valued both Hamilton and Ferland. Rumours were that Fox was not going to sign in Calgary in any event. They pick up two solid pieces and yet they are, for the most part, in full revolt. Most t...

Re: Around the league (signings, RFAs injuries)

I’m liking the idea of keeping Tanev now IF Hughes plays with the Canucks this year. If he goes back to college I think we could get a decent return including pick(s) for next year. Edler I’d see if he’d waive at the TDD. But certainly their is mentor ship value in keeping both Tanev and Edler for ...

Re: 2018 NHL DRAFT - Who does JB take.

Half of the D-men selected in the 1st round are sub-6ft. Ranging from 168lbs to 184lbs. Guys like Boqvist, Smith, Merkely are all about the same size as Hughes (as listed anyways). Remember, our smallest D-men Biega & Stecher (tries to) play the biggest. The biggest ones, Guddy & Bhutt are our wors...

Re: Trade rumours & armchair pipe dreams 18-19 Sponsored by SKYO

Expanding on my thought from the last thread about Taveres. Lets say the Canucks had planned to offer Brock a 8 x 6 m salary = 48m all together. While they have a ton of cap space offer him 15m on a one year deal and then 7 years at 5m = 50m all together (or 8 years). That way his cap hit is reduce...

I’m starting to wonder how much rope the owners on AZ are giving to Chayka to hang himself with....

Dallas and Philly also both taking names I don’t remember ever reading about.

In 2014-15, year 1 of the Malkin deal, the Penguins had 30% of their cap tied up in Malkin and Crosby. In 2018-19, they will have 23% of their cap tied up in Malkin and Crosby. I honestly believed that the Pens were too top-heavy and wouldn't be competitive with that much cap in 2 players. Now, the...

You guys think Karlsson’s ankle is gonna make him less of a player now and in the future? https://www.tsn.ca/talent/karlsson-reveals-more-about-ankle-injury-1.868641 That's a really good question. He is dedicated, tough as nails and a world of talent but I still can't answer the question. All I cou...

Re: 2018 NHL DRAFT - Who does JB take.

one of the lowest scoring teams in the league over the past few years - they need goals.... Hoping Zadina or Walstrom falls to 7. A big part of the reason for the low scoring is a lack of talent on the blueline. You could add another 20 goals to this team just by having a defenseman or two that are...
