This buyout get paid again thing is cool.

Didn't he say he'd never play in Canada?

(I guess he's still not technically playing in Canada)

I hope Hamhuis hipchecks him into an unrenovated row of the Saddledome.

Re: MacKenzie: Corey Schneider to NJ for 9th overall pick

An analyst on CBC at the very beginning of the series said something like, "If Vancouver uses their speed and turns this series into a trackmeet, Boston cannot win. If Vancouver slows down and plays Boston's game, the Bruins will take the cup home. " (or something very close) ... Well, the latter h...

Re: Canucks select Hunter Shinkaruk with the #24 pick.

The Flames did similar last year, going off the board, they picked a bunch of college kids. Odd drafting out of cow town the past couple of years. They left an aging core in tact, unwilling to deal for prospects/picks, and also made poor choices giving away draft picks they had for (returning) aged...

Re: MacKenzie: Corey Schneider to NJ for 9th overall pick

The guy gave up 8 goals in 7 games, he wins the Cup and Conn Smythe largely due to that series alone and very deservingly so. It was a goaltending performance for the ages...and you use that one goal as an argument??? Weak, dude, weak. "Cloudier-esque"?..holy lord. The 8 goal argument you guys keep...

Re: MacKenzie: Corey Schneider to NJ for 9th overall pick

I'll bet it's $90+mil by then. I hoep it doesn't get that high. The talent pool isn't inflating with that pace. Mediocre players in the right circumstance will command 5-6 million just to continue being mediocre :( I get that its all relative... There's another thread saying how terribad Crappiere ...

Re: Around the league (signings, RFAs injuries)

Personally, I could see the appeal in going to a smaller market but growing team like Columbus and being a key piece to their future rather than playing second fiddle in Boston to Lucic, Chara, Bergeron, Krejci, Marchand, etc. If cost of living was a big factor, you’d see every UFA clamouring to si...

The team only scoring 8 goals (2PP GOALS and ZERO in the 7th game AT HOME) had nothing to do with costing the team a cup.
Shhh... you'll mess people up with this logic stuff.

Meh... if you're into perfect bodies. I guess she's alright. Uhhhh....if you're into gunts I guess she wouldn't have the kind of body you're interested in. Anyway, wtf is with these guys who want to play their extremely short pro sports careers in “quieter” markets? Sounds like Horton spent the day...

Re: Around the league (signings, RFAs injuries)

Sounds like Nathan Horton is looking to sign in a non-traditional hockey market. He wants a quieter life according to LeBrun. I guess he won his cup, just wants to cash in, get fewer head injuries and hang out with his super hot wife. Rumblings that Alfredsson is considering signing somewhere other...

Re: Canucks select Hunter Shinkaruk with the #24 pick.

My favorite aspect of this pick is the fact that a lot of Flames fans wanted Feaster to take him at 22 but they grabbed some other kid that was projected later in the 2nd round. Then they flew off the handle after the Canucks drafted him. Some Flames fans snippets from HF: For those who enjoy the s...

Re: MacKenzie: Corey Schneider to NJ for 9th overall pick

The only thing I would worry about is if Lack turns out to be the real deal and we get to do this all over again in 3-4 years. ^This. This is precisely the reason for this trade that people have dodged over and over again. There are goalies all over the league who's cap hit is equal or greater than...
