Re: GDT: Detroit @ Vancouver, 7:00 pm, TSN

It's nasty how Kronval skates backwards, then changes directions in order to take your head off. Edit: Sulzer appears to be a very solid player. Not that it really matters, but curious to see if the head was initial contact. Certainly jumped, but that isn't enough to warrant a suspension. He is a r...

Re: Canucks at Leaves - 4:00 PM - CBC

That was one of the most enjoyable games for me this year. Regardless of outcome, a pretty well executed game by both teams for the most part. The opportunities that came from mistakes were taken advantage of, the goaltenders were outstanding, and the officiating (by recent Canuck game standards) di...

Re: I Hate It.....

I would rather they overhaul the point system than giving SO wins the same value as OT wins and worse, regulation time win. The loser point bugs me a lot less than the 2 points awarded to shootout winners. Give the shootout winner 1.5 points AT MOST. I love 4 on 4 (sudden death) hockey, and the sho...

Re: Vancouver's Hockey "Media"

I'm curious what posters around here think about the power of suggestion. Or the psychological impact redundant and insidious questions can have on human beings. You could insert repetitive in there as well... And for the record, I think that common logic would tell us that the impact level is prop...

Re: From Bountiful to Ponoka

Once he waives a NTC/NMC he hasn't waived it for good. It always applies. Where did you find that info? I would have thought that if a player signed to waive a clause, that the contract would be transferred to the new team exactly as it left the old team... With the players signature waiving the ap...

Re: Official Luongo Hate / Love Thread

We all know that Luo's contract is prohibitive... I guess we do... Now that you've told us we do. I think that that idea is just a non-creative cop out invented by close minded Luongo haters, in an effort to wallow in their misguided and unnecessary self pity. Don't buy into it people. If the manag...

Re: Will these Canucks have a bad season?

In the last few days I have read somewhere that there is concern over the "win two lose one disease" I think thats a valid concern. Valid, yes. Concern?...no. Win two, lose one "disease"... Winds up leading to 112 points in the regular season. ( and that's not even counting OT/SO loser points) Oh.....

Re: Official Luongo Hate / Love Thread

The fucking media loves this, and pours gas on the flame at every opportunity. There is definite angst in the fan base, but not, IMO, at this ridiculous level. I find myself cheering for the poor bastard ;) Yup... It's an assassination. A feeding frenzie. It's become sooo easy to do (whip the boy),...

Re: Official Luongo Hate / Love Thread

Just listened to Loungo's comment after the game. He said he "felt good" what the fack does that mean? Yes, yes I know he is a slow starter, but what does "feeling good" have to do with stopping pucks, obviously nothing. I don't want him saying that he is "feeling good" when he shits the bed. I fig...

Re: Official Luongo Hate / Love Thread

He's not the reason the Canucks have sucked so badly over the last five years . Wait, we have sucked over the past 5 years? I'm counting 4 division titles, a presidents trophy, 6 playoff round wins and a trip to the final. Didn't mean to startle y'all... I guess using green text to express sarcasm ...

Re: Official Luongo Hate / Love Thread

So, apparently the effectiveness of Luongo on this Vancouver team is up for debate... At the end of the debate, whether you think you won or lost (in the effort to convince others that Luongo is only an average goaltender or that some other guy is better, or that he's overpaid...or whatever) He's no...

Re: Official Luongo Hate / Love Thread

In my view, the question is now, and always should have been, whether or not the Canucks can win with Luongo. Interesting take. My view is that the question is, do the Canucks have a better chance of winning with Luongo? What I mean is that, can anybody actually provide a viable alternative in net?...

Re: Official Luongo Hate / Love Thread

Anyone else notice the almost sarcastic pro-Schneider cheer the first time he was mentioned as the starter yesterday? Interesting... Also of note to me was that the team celebration after the win was in the wild end... Schneider came TO the team to celebrate, instead of everyone going to the Vancou...
