Re: Around the league (signings, RFAs injuries)

Poor Ottawa: From some paper: Ottawa Senators assistant general manager Randy Lee was arrested Thursday night and charged with second-degree harassment at an arraignment hearing on Friday in Buffalo, N.Y., according to Erie County District Attorney John Flynn. Lee was accused of rubbing the shoulder...

Re: The 2018 NHL Entry Draft

Ya Trymakin prefers the right side but Green prefers correct handedness. I see both sides of the Tanev debate. To me, at this stage of team development, if the price is right to high, you trade him. But the value he has to this young developing team will be very very high. You need someone on D who ...

Re: The 2018 NHL Entry Draft

I might take Wahlstrom over Tkachuk. Rebuilding a top line with offensive potential like thisnkid is exactly what needs to happen. Tkachuk plodding the wing < Wahlstrom at center ice Fucking hell hey: Horvat, Boeser, Pettersson, Wahlstrom, Dahlen, Virtanen, Goldobin, Kole Lind, Gadjovich....LOL tha...

Re: The 2018 NHL Entry Draft

Yes, all things being equal, you chose a centre or dman over a winger. Doesn’t sound like other son of Keith are in his plans. But all things wouldn't be equal if Tkachuk was still there. :D Jimmy will take Tkachuk if he's available at 7... I'd bet dollars on it. Good point. Depending upon what Dme...

^^^^^^

And maybe, just maybe, that fire, that piss and vinegar was exactly what Green was trying to uncover. Could we see a pumped up ready to rumble defensive beast out of Hutton come this fall?

Re: The 2018 NHL Entry Draft

Benning: "I think you can run into problems when you make a pick based on positional needs. I think we should take the best player available. But center-icemen & defensemen retain their value so if it comes between a winger or a centermen or a defensemen, we'll look positionally" Yes, all ...

Re: Canucks News and Notes 2017-2018

I am so relieved. I really thought he wouldn’t sign and eventually he would renter the draft with us only getting a second as compensation. We dodged a bullet. Whew!!

Re: Playoffs

To put it simply, a successful team has quality forwards and dmen prospects, and if defense wins championships, how are you going to build a championship team if you always take forwards (bpa)? Via Trade - a hockey trade Sergachev - Drouin Jones - Johansen Myers - Kane All three trades involved a f...

Re: Trade rumours & armchair pipe dreams 17-18 Sponsored by SKYO

I dunno Skyo, by the end of the year Hutton was using his weight more. And I don’t think it’s as simple as saying he isn’t going to be a hitter. Hutton is the type of player that was very very good at every level he played at, like(d) to party and carry on,has been resistant to being coached. He is ...

He was a good fit for SJS. I think it’s a good city and a good team for him. Close to home too.

I would have been ok with him here but it’s a few years too early in our development. He was probably tired of rebuilding teams too.

Whew

Re: Playoffs

Canucks needed a physical #5 dman so they had Sbisa included in the Kesler trade as a throw-in. Giving up a physical #5 dman in the expansion draft is pretty good considering what other teams gave up. BTW is a physical #5 dman who can fill-in in the top-4 a "good player" or a "poor player"?? :? (or...

Hossa announces retirement. https://www.tsn.ca/report-chicago-forward-hossa-retires-due-to-health-problems-1.1089947 I believe the Luongo Rule will hit the Blackhawks to the tune of $4.25M in recapture for the next 3 years. However..... https://www.nbcchicago.com/blogs/madhouse-enforcer/marian-hoss...

Re: Playoffs

Wow. Vegas made the Jets look ordinary the last four games. Jets looked unbeatable until game two of this series.

The dream is alive!
