Goldy has a little Larionov to his game. Similar skills just one hasnt found the wet spot yet.

Its worth another camp before losing him right before he figures it out. Not saying sign a 8 year extension just lets see how camp plays out

I hate it when they can’t find the wet spot!!

Crap micky. Juolevi hasn’t really had his first kick at the can. Sure he had last years camp, but that’s it. He ain’t had a sniff in the NHL. I think he will be an everyday NHLer. Just don’t know if that top, mid, or bottom pairing.

Re: 2019 offseason

Putting players in a position to succeed is also critical. I don’t think Green does that. And I get it, he has to ice the team/players he feels give the team the best chance to win. But it doesn’t do wonders for development. I think Goldobin has the potential to be a 60+ guy. His ceiling could be hi...

Re: The Official CC "All Thing Leaves" thread

Sakic and Benning danced around Barrie for a few days. Barrie let it be known he wanted to play for Vancouver. Benning knew this so he wasn’t prepared to offer up a first in 2019. There was talk of a conditional first next year or 2021, this is before Miller was acquired. But one of the conditions B...

Puljujarvi wants out.
Jesse Puljujärvi tonight to Kaleva Newspaper at a charity game in Oulu:

"I want a new start with some other team. Playing in North America is still my goal."

"I will stay on Oulu until I have a contract. I will find a place to play somewhere".

Just wait until Stetcher steps up to protect Hughes! He may get a bloody nose or broken jaw doing it but if he needs to he will. He has a snarl to his game and if he can take bull dog lessons then will be a more reliable version of Biega.

Re: The Official CC "All Thing Leaves" thread

It makes no difference to leaves outcome if Nylander has a season for the ages. Really. I’ll be happy for him if he produces at a pace he is expected to. I’ll be happy for Tuna too. With great Blue Jay sell off and the fleeing of Leonard, Tuna needs something to keep his sanity.

Re: Vancouver's Hockey "Media"

Mutual termination would cost Loui $7-9M cash = not gunna happen. Once he realizes it's Utica or waive for Ottawa, he'll waive. Well, it's not like it's $7-9 million in a lotto ticket/lump sum, he'll be missing out on $1 million for the rest of this year to ride the buses in Utica for 8 months. Luo...

Re: Vancouver's Hockey "Media"

Is Hutton really worth 4+ Benning walked away not just because of the cap but because he knew Hutton wasn’t worth that coin. Hutton’s agent basically confirmed that the Canucks circled back after failing to qualify him and came in at a much lower number. Which he said just wasn’t going to fly. On th...

Re: Canucks News n Notes 2019-2020

The plan all along was to have Markstrom mind the net untilDemko was ready for the starters job. A few things have made that scenario interesting. 1) Markstrom’s turn around, or more precisely his growing into a confident number one. 2) Demko’s flakiness. There are some concerns but I’d characterize...
