Re: From Bountiful to Ponoka

Flames sign Scott Hannan, 1 year, $1 million http://www.tsn.ca/nhl/story/?id=373721 Drat. Not that I wanted him here, but I think that pretty much eliminates the loss of Regehr for the Flamers. Not that I particularly care about either of the two slow-footed, pre-lockout built D, but 2011 Regehr ...

Re: From Bountiful to Ponoka

Ripping on the Flames just isn't much fun anymore. Gotta disagree there, but maybe that's just because I live in Calgary. I for one will continue to repeatedly kick them while they're down, because it's not going to last forever. I don't expect their fortunes to turn around anytime soon, but when ...

Re: TV Shows: What are you watching?

Been half-assed rewatching the new Battlestar Galactica on my days off. Just fantastic TV....for about the first 60 episodes. Then it's 20 episodes of WTF? to finish things off :scowl:

Re: From Bountiful to Ponoka

I feel sorry for Peter - yeah, I could see how his voice could become annoying (It didn't really bother me). Anyway, good luck to him in the furture. Looks like the Flames have re-signed BMo - $1.25 million for one year. Not bad. No word on whether he got a NMC  I wonder what the reason was ...

What a homer, and what an awful voice for play-by-play.

Hi Corner :)

Hi Jerks from the old forum.

Can we set up a Keith Ballard vs Aaron Rome thread? I'm feeling out of place. ;)
Would you settle for a Ballard vs Grabner thread?

Re: Welcome to the Refugees from "Central"

Wow! I was caught off guard by the sudden change, well for me it was sudden. Saddened to see the end of the site but very very grateful to have found a new place to call home. Hope to catch up to some old friends and make some new ones! Thanks for the welcome thread, I felt a little lost for a few ...

Unless you have a hankering for repetetive bleating about the Ballard-Grabner trade.

Re: Welcome to the Refugess from "Central"

Well that was unceremonious, wasn't it? I thought for sure that the site had temporarily crashed or been hacked. Despite mostly being a lurker at "Old CC" it was part of my daily rounds for over 10 years (and I even donated from time to time ) Hopefully the best elements of Central can make ...
