Re: GDT: Oct 12 - Canucks at Flyers - 4:30 PM - TSN, RIS

I'm sure I'll change my tune in March but...this loss doesn't really bother me.

The Canucks didn't deserve the win, and BS efforts like that just aren't going to cut it over the long haul. The players need to remember it, and this gives AV ammo down the road.

Re: GDT: Oct 12 - Canucks at Flyers - 4:30 PM - TSN, RIS

I think these first three games have show that Vancouver really misses Ryan Kesler and Christian Erhoff. But the dynamic skating and speed through the neutral zone (particularly on the PP) is missing without those two players. Meh, offense hasn't been the problem. Also, I would give Luongo more cre...

If "calling out" = "putting back in their usual PP point spot" then...yes.

Canucks already look like a team that could use a good ass-kicking to wake them up.

As exciting as it was to watch "Cardiac Canucks" a couple of seasons ago, a heap of 3rd period deficits were also a sign of a mediocre team.

Watching the Blues-Flames game (4-2 Blues early in the third...FLames being outshot by a similar 2-1 margin) and nearly every shift he's on you can't help but see what a huge pussy Bouwmeester is right now. Any winger with any sort of determination will out compete him. 5-2 final http://cdn.nhl.com...

Re: GDT: Oct 6 - Canucks host Penguins - 7pm - CBC, Versus H

Samuelsson on the point is pathetic. Either they have to work on adapting their plays to suit his strengths/deficiencies, get him off the 1st unit PP, or just challenge him to get better. Agreed. God I hope that KB4 steps up his game to the point where he can take Sammy's place. Wasn't two years of...

Re: GDT: Oct 6 - Canucks host Penguins - 7pm - CBC, Versus H

How is it possible for a professional goaltender to be so susceptible to the exact same move for his entire career? Shooter head fakes glove side, waits for Luongo to flop then moves to the blocker side and roofs it. OK, easier said than done, but as long as the shooter doesn't bobble the puck that ...

Re: Team 1040 does not renew (i.e. fires) Big Daddy's Contra

I'd be happy with Ferraro or BMac taking his place, but I'd be THRILLED if the Kurtenbloggers took it up. I find having 3 hosts to be much more enjoyable, because they have more to say and don't need to fill a half hour with celebrity birthdays and re-cycle the stories every hour. If anything I'd l...

BTW kids, the A student ends up living a great life whilst the school yard bully usually ends up working graveyard shift. I love the logic, but wouldn't that mean that the Canucks will win 3 Cups in the next 10 years while the Bruins never make it past the 1st round during that time? Sure feels to ...

FINALLY Legace will get a shot at being the Canucks' #1. Only took 3 GM changes.

Was Babych associated with the Canucks in an official capacity last year?

Re: Roberto Luongo regrets comments

Glad you dug this up. At the time, those comments by Lou really bothered me because it felt to me like he has lost focus. I guess this pretty much confirms that to be true....as if his performance in the remaining two games wasn't enough proof. It's just another example of how mentally fragile our #...

Re: Jordan Schroeder Article

My concern is that he will be bringing his own system to the Wolves. One of the biggest assets that the Canucks have had for the last several years is that our farm team has played the exact same system as us. This has allowed us an extra advantage with our prospects being called up during the seas...
