Foote was an ass kicking D-man that was far better than stats would ever indicate. He was a mean SOB

Re: Sundström's number to be retired

Well, maybe not in Vancouver, but Björklöven, the team he represented before and after his ten seasons in the NHL, will honour Patrik in connection to the home game against Teg, by having his jersey hung from the rafters. Probably the greatest player to have been raised in Umeå, even if he never ea...

Re: OOTS

I take immense satisfaction watching the wheels fall off of that franchise.
I know they're not off completely yet but they really are an arrogant group that desperately needed the chip knocked off of their collective shoulders.

Re: Why the Oilers "rebuild" is truly doomed

The prospects and young players like Paajarvi and Omark aren't locks to be stars next year, although I really like Paajarvi, and the rest of those players are varying degrees away from being ready. Not sure what the problem is with Pääjärvi. He never should have dropped the Svensson. His Svenskan a...

Re: GDT - Feb 9, 2012 at Minnesota Wild 5PM S-NET-P

I think we are stronger with a 5-6 of Tanev and Ballard than Rome and Alberts. Rome and Alberts do give us more toughness but a much poorer bottom paring IMO. I heard some interesting tidbits re Ballard today. It seems that RD is not the only one that does not have confidence in him. Seems some of ...

"Maybe you should concentrate more on playing hockey and not posting politcal stuff on FB, you've been sliding down hill since opening that big mouth of yours. Maybe opposing teams should start shooting pucks into that big yapper of yours."

Re: From Bountiful to Ponoka

So Calgary is now on a roll. 7wins, 3 losses and 2 OTL since getting their lunch handed to them Jan 7th by Boston (9-0). They've made some moves sending Bourque packing for Cammy, moved a few vets for youngsters and it seems to be working well. This Saturday the Canucks are heading into the Saddledo...

Re: The Home Stretch & Gearing Up For the Playoffs

Manny isn't a Canuck to rack up points, he's there to bring a defensive element to the bottom six and win key face offs. We sit in 3rd overall with 30ish games to go. Why are we ripping into a guy who is such a valuable leader on and off the ice? His injury last year was horrific and an inspiration ...

Re: The Home Stretch & Gearing Up For the Playoffs

Odd little curiosity I heard tonight... Boston Bruins leading up to the January game against VCR- 20+ games over .500 Including that game until now- 1 game over .500...soon to be .500 even... if they lose tonight against Buffalo(down 4-0 after 2 periods) Watching them tonight the Sabres are matching...
