Re: Eye Reedz (book thread)
Under the Banner of Heaven is also indispensable Krakauer. Particularly since we have a Mormon up for election in this country. Its amazing what millions of dollars in PR money will do to legitimize your cult.

Love some D.O.A. I had Joe point me out at a show once because I was wearing a Black Flag shirt. I felt pretty cool.
Used to be an awesome website that had an oral history of the band on it... a bunch of interviews, hilarious stories. I think its long gone but I'm going to go check real quick...

Re: Muzac For Munsters
Hey Hoss. Went away for a few days of golf and debaauchery and uploaded a few old cd's to the iPod prior to departure. Listened to Sandinista on the way there and the way back. Been a long time since I listened to it (probably not even in this millenium). Forgot how much I liked it. Strummer and ...

Re: NFL Thread: Thoughts on the game south of the 49th
Love the Seahawks nostalgia on here! John L, Kenny Easley, Curt Warner. Bringing back memories of my old man and I skipping out on church to watch the games on Sunday. Those goddamn Broncos (although my dad is from Port Angeles and always bragged about how Elway was, in fact, born in P.A.)... then ...

Re: TV Shows: What are you watching?
All in the game. The Wire is the best show I've ever seen. Big fan of GRR Martin's books, liked Game of Thrones quite a bit too. That fat bastard is going to leave HBO in the lurch though if they decide to keep going with the series... no way Winds of Winter is coming out before the series catches ...

John Doe, Dave Alvin, Mojo Nixon, Alejandro Escavedo, HankIII I love John Doe. I could forgive him anything. X is an all time fave. Never cared too much about the Williams fam, Alejandro's brother had a pretty killer band, and the Blasters always seemed really boring and borderline rockabilly to me.

Neko's got a killer voice, but I still think alt country is where old rockers go to get lame.
