I take it you are not a fan of the goal celebration, the win celebration, or any celebration for that matter.

Re: Patience: Gillis is doing the right thing.

I do not want to throw away a good and proven tender for someone who is not felt that pressure they get in Van. Hope they think hard, keep Lou, get a good return on Ginger and stop paying such attention to what may one of the worst hockey medias in the NHL. If the Gillis regime really did pay much ...

Re: Muzac For Munsters

Love some D.O.A. I had Joe point me out at a show once because I was wearing a Black Flag shirt. I felt pretty cool.

Used to be an awesome website that had an oral history of the band on it... a bunch of interviews, hilarious stories. I think its long gone but I'm going to go check real quick...

Re: Muzac For Munsters

Hey Hoss. Went away for a few days of golf and debaauchery and uploaded a few old cd's to the iPod prior to departure. Listened to Sandinista on the way there and the way back. Been a long time since I listened to it (probably not even in this millenium). Forgot how much I liked it. Strummer and Jo...

Re: Dear US Border Guards...

Oh my god. A thread after my own heart. I've had some pretty nasty encounters coming back home from B.C. . . Let's just say Customs doesn't hire the best and brightest. Its a great job if you want to lord over people. Going to Canada has usually been easy. Although I did have my car searched once, w...

Re: Do we trade Schneider after the season?

There's something about Cory's (public) attitude that I much prefer to Lu's. I know he hasn't had to shoulder the load and deal with the Marianas Trench-like pressure of being the starter for the Canucks, but still..... He has proven he can play (albeit in small samples), and there's that instinctiv...

Truly terrifying reading, with a few exceptions: http://www.facebook.com/TimThomasOfficialPage

I'm scared for my country. Why some in this country cling to their ole-tyme-relijun like they do blows my mind. But then again, this is the place that spawned Mormonism.

To busy jocking Glenn Beck's nuts to suck it up? Think what you want about Obama, the man isn't Adolf Hitler for chrissakes. Glenn Beck on the other hand is a dangerously deluded cultist who twists history like any good revisionist bunghole. Ken Campbell, resident clown at the Hockey News, of course...

Re: NFL Thread: Thoughts on the game south of the 49th

Love the Seahawks nostalgia on here! John L, Kenny Easley, Curt Warner. Bringing back memories of my old man and I skipping out on church to watch the games on Sunday. Those goddamn Broncos (although my dad is from Port Angeles and always bragged about how Elway was, in fact, born in P.A.)... then m...

Re: Canucks Acquire David Booth & Parts

At face value (and based on MG's comments), this move would also seem to indicate that the Canucks don't believe CoHo is ready./quote] I interpret it that MayRay is not anywhere near ready, and Sturm is done. We trade an old Samuelson for a young Booth. Booth seems like an upgrade over Mason to me ...

Re: TV Shows: What are you watching?

All in the game. The Wire is the best show I've ever seen. Big fan of GRR Martin's books, liked Game of Thrones quite a bit too. That fat bastard is going to leave HBO in the lurch though if they decide to keep going with the series... no way Winds of Winter is coming out before the series catches u...

Seconded. FWTBT is one of my favorite books, but All Quiet is a monster.
