Re: Pittsburgh @ Vancouver 10:00 PM ET TSN,ROOT

Can't argue with that. Sedins have failed to adapt this year. There's nothing new. I have a lot of faith in Torts though and don't think he'll put up with it for much longer.

Re: Pittsburgh @ Vancouver 10:00 PM ET TSN,ROOT

Man, that PK by the pens gave us absolutely no room at all! What else is new? Why don't we just template a line for the PP that goes like this: "Man that PK by (insert opposing team here) is giving the guys fits. No room out there at all. They just can't get anything going." Two nights later and wh...

More than anything I like the fact that we're playing the same lines game after game. That, and the fact that our PK rocks! If we're gonna make a cup run, I'd rather it be as the underdog ... It's more in keeping with Canucks culture.

May be distracted by the kids but haven't heard a thing about Alberts. What's the word?

Yeah, he looks great, but it's still funny to hear people talking about a goaltending controversy. I mean he's no Ken Dryden.

Re: Canucks @ Flames - Sun Dec 29, 4:30 SNET

Just tuned in. For some reason I'm liking the Booth Richardson Kassian line lately ... could be a sleeper. A sleeper? I agree, this line can dipsy, doodle and dangle with tic tac toe passing like we have never seen before Who want tic-tac-toe in the Torts era? I don't even want to see that from the...

Re: So.....what do we do when the Sedin twins retire?

No need to wait for the Sedins to retire. Kesler is already moving ahead of them under Torts. The last significant game (CHI): Kesler 25:40 H Sedin 24:21 D Sedin 24:35 The second-last significant game (BOS): Kesler 18:21 H Sedin 15:58 D Sedin 14:43 Edit: Hell, Richardson (17:00) even got more ice ti...

Re: Should the Canucks become a more DEFENSIVE team?

I have to agree with Meds here and add that the Canucks have relied too much on generating FEW high-quality chances, rather than generating MANY low-quality chances of the throw-it-at-the-net-or-at-someone-heading-towards-the-net type. The team in general follows what the Sedins do; I mean most Nuck...

Re: GDT: Canucks vs Coyotes - 19:00PST on SNET-P

Third game in four nights for the Yotes, I believe, while we've been playing relatively infrequently. No excuse if we don't show the energy to beat them in the individual battles. 4-1 Nucks.

Re: Chicago @ Vancouver 7:00 PM PT CBC,NHLN-US,WGN

Looking forward to seeing more of the Sedins' different, more direct, shoot first, type of game. They are changing, albeit slowly. Last game they started well, but after the game started getting away from the BJs you could see the Canucks go back to those tic-tac-toe plays. Nice to watch, but not go...
