Re: Canucks News and Notes

Also confirmed that they are trying to get to Trymakin under contract. Those negotiations are going very well and they are hopeful that he will be playing for the Canucks before the end of the season Tryamkin and Pedan. Beauty. Finally. http://www.canuckscorner.com/forums/viewtopic.php?p=2...

Re: First round picks

I'd say that it's a manager's expectation as well. No manager's uses their 1st round pick on a player projected to be a 3rd liner. Results, of course, are always less than expectations. Anyways, semantics.

Re: First round picks

Many of them were poor first round picks, which is how they ended up on our team, lol. Doesn't matter who drafted them though. Patience level should depend on how many NHL games they've been given to prove their worth. Hamhuis (12th), Sutter (11th), Etem (29th), Baertschi (13th) are not superstars ...

Re: Canucks News and Notes

I'm guessing throwing in the towel on the season is turning into an opportunity to give Tryamkin a "tryout" without him having to prove himself in camp first. If he does well he'll be more confident and likely to show up for camp rather than return to the KHL. I'd be shocked if Pedan does not get ca...

Huh?

The loss to Toronto took the wind out of me. I haven't really watched a game since. A couple I think I ffwd through. But I like the sounds of giving the kids more playing time, and Gaunce getting a chance. Here's hoping Pedan will get a call up.

Re: Midsummer, might as well talk politics

I didn't know Americans needed reasons to buy guns. Isn't it the first waking thought? "Mmmm, I think I'll go buy a gun today".

Re: 2016 TRADE DEADLINE TRACKER

Forget about what the hacks say or what Benning states publicly, I wouldn't be surprised if it's a simple as Benning respects Hamhuis and sees him as an integral part of the team going forward, as the old guard passes the torch to the young guns, so turning his life upside down for a few months for ...

Re: 2016 TRADE DEADLINE TRACKER

Well, the next best thing that GMJB can do is let Vrbata walk and re-sign Hamhuis, but at what term? One year term, trade him at the next TDD. Patience. :mex: I don't think Hammer's at the point in his career where he's going to start signing one-year deals. Being a BC boy I expect he wants to secu...

Re: 2016 TRADE DEADLINE TRACKER

TSN 1040 saying Hammer is staying.... If that's the case, that news better be followed up with news that he's signed an extension. I'd have no problem if he re upped . Then they have to bully Edler of of town in the summer I guess. They absolutely would need to move a left hand shot back there. Gee...

Re: Trades and rumours (& fantasies) 2014-15-16

On 1040 this morning, Bill Watters was asked of his opinion on Larsen. He said he thought Larsen would be a great fit with the Sedins, lol. Maybe he meant on the PP, kind of like when we had the Hoffer back there. :P Haha, yeah, maybe, except for the embarrasing silence and quick topic change, lol....
