Re: GDT: Home Opener, Oct 11/14' Edmonton @ Vancouver, 7pm,

Kudos to RNH on taking that fight with Hamhuis. Some decent punches from both guys, but pretty sure each of them was 100% into the others visor. Congrats to Vey on his first NHL goal. Momentum (and PP's) all going Vancouvers way right now. I'm gonna say at least 1 more Oilers PP before this one is ...

Re: Canucks Training Camp - News & Notes

Horvat's been sent back to Junior. I assume to make room for Dalpe?

Re: Canucks Training Camp - News & Notes

Can anyone confirm the last time an 18 year old made the Canucks out of camp? Hodgson didn't do it, so I'm thinking it was Luc Bourdon? Anyway, what a boost for the franchise getting two top offensive prospects in exchange for a jittery backup goalie! I don't think Bourdon did. Wasn't that one of t...

Re: Re-sign the Sedins thread

Both of them have indicated they want to take things a year at a time. They probably really mean short term and would likely sign 2 or 3 year deals at the right price. If Gillis can lock them up at $6M each for 2 more seasons, the gives the organization a couple more years to figure things out and ...

Re: HNIC may leave CBC :)

This year, you have to wait until December 28 for a HNIC with no Leaves. There are 3 weeks all year with no Leaves on HNIC Saturday. One thing I've noticed over the last few years is the number of times that the Leaves are not the national game, though. I remember when there was no way we'd see a n...

May be spin, but the Sedins' were apparently actually were hoping for Torts.

Re: GDT: Feb 24 - Canucks @ Detroit Rock City 2:00PM SNET-P

I was going to ask how Burrows got away with that pick that led to the Dank goal but then we get hit with two, legitimate, penalties in a row and now a flukey rebound to a skate deflection and a tying goal. All even now. Hockey gods have spoken. Burrows had already established his position, so I th...

Bieksa's Kesler impersonation is priceless

And he does interviews with it!

I feel a *little* bad for the reporter, but c'mon. You have to do your research.

Re: GDT: Canucks @ Beantown - 10am - Snet / NHLN-US

Just once I would love to see MG go on CBC and call Cherry and stooge #1 out, Cherry is such a fuck tard, the only time I watch him is if Canucks play the early game, he goes on about the 11 PP Canucks get but not the 8 Boston gets. He talks about the tap Burrows gives but not the punched Boston gi...

Thornton actually gives Burrows a little tap first.

Watch the replay starting around the 1:57 mark.

Re: Wade Belak found dead in his condo

I'm looking online, and everything I'm seeing says suicide. Are there any actual reports out there stating otherwise? Other than a P.J. Stock quote, anyway?

Re: Contemplating rule changes

That's certainly a possibility, but I think it's less likely than it is now. Most of the races seem to be the forward barely beating the defenceman to the puck, reaching in and touching it. I would think that, at the faceoff dot, the defenceman would actually be winning that race, and it would be bl...

Re: Contemplating rule changes

I've long been an advocate for the hybrid icing rule. I don't want to see set plays, like one Sedin firing the puck around the boards knowing that his brother's going to get there first, be taken away by automatic icing. But I also don't want the injuries that come with the race for the puck. Yes, i...

Re: Any posters in to the Jazz scene

I don't really know anything about it, but I do love listening to jazz when I get a chance. I used to listen to the nightly jazz show on KPLU out of Seattle.

Not sure if it's still around, though.
