Re: Offseason Wheelings and Dealings
Like Mrs. Coco waiting for the rain to stop so her prized garden can begin to flourish. Mrs. Coco and my daughter fucked off to Europe to get away from this weather. We went away together for a week, and then they took off for 3 weeks. My little girl has become quite the artist, and she convinced m...

Re: Free Trade Deals - 2012
Orr is on a plateau far above the rest.
Tim Horton there with Harvey and Lidstrom, Big Bird and Savard far above the likes of Coffey, Stevens, Murphy and Bourque.

Re: Patience: Gillis is doing the right thing.
The desision to remove Hank and Dan on the PK was one AV made when he made them the #1 line. he would rather maximize their 5 on 5 and PP time than take a few shifts of their overall time and use it for PK duties. Up to that point, they were very good on the PK using positioning and puck control rat...

Re: Patience: Gillis is doing the right thing.
here he would be benched after a mistake. and deservedly so. AV gets a bad rap on this. He allows the youngsters to make a mistakes and expects them to learn from them, he does not allow repeat offenders to threepeat. AV developed Kesler and Burrows in Manitoba before he came to Vancouver. Cody was...

Prust didn't always lose to Rick, and each fight was burner.

Re: Offseason Wheelings and Dealings
I never meant to comment nor intended a comment on whether Vancouver had a chance on those deals. I think they are good deals.
Corrected. Prust is a very fair deal then.

Re: CANUCKS SIGN UFA JASON GARRISON
Sami was done, he hadn't fired the slapshot effectively in a year. No problem seeing him go other than a touch of nostalgia.
Garrison is bigger, younger faster.

Re: Offseason Wheelings and Dealings
The only deals I feel bad missing out on was Prust at 3yrs/10mil. True 3.3 and a 1/3 may be more than you want on the 4th, but OK - 4yrs/$10mil ( there goes that joke) the toughness factor is worth the $'s. I mentioned his name heading in to the deadline. Good on the Habs. The other is Latendresse t...

Re: Off-Season Trade Thread - Needs/Wants
I know this won't be popular, but what about a $2-$3mil one year offer to Oli Jokinen to fill the 2nd (while Kesler is out) then third line C role? Short term fix, low salary. Get past the initial vomit your mouth reaction and think about it. Big guy, responsible in his own end, decent hands and sho...

Re: Patience: Gillis is doing the right thing.
Problem is Paddy, Marty is on the wrong side of 35. Whatever deal he signs is is it for the team. he's a short termer where ever he ends up.
Could work for the leaves as they have little in the asset pool. I've also read Chitown may be a fit, but I think he's playing poker and stays put.
