Marchand pissing off the entire sportsnet crew may make me want to cheer them on a little longer  Indeed; https://www.sportsnet.ca/hockey/nhl/bruins-brad-marchand-gives-best-marshawn-lynch-impression-reporters/ A philosopher extraordinaire. I hate to see the Bruins going through, but I'...

Re: Trade rumours & armchair pipe dreams 18-19 Sponsored by SKYO

I would definitely do the first deal as well, Seabrook still has game and would be a great steady partner for Hughes. Lol Seabrook is a worse boat anchor than Sutter or Eriksson and probably Lucic. Lmfao Yes, Seabrook right now is a third pairing defence man with a big contract for his past perform...

Re: 2019 offseason

I am a little bit concerned about Free Agency this coming summer with Elmer having a lot of cap space. This team can ill afford another Eriksson type blunder. I hope there is truth to the Aquilinis looking to bring in an experienced hockey guy in a President of Hockey Operations position. They need...

Re: 2019 offseason

That intangible you like is why he has trade value. The reality is he doesnt have the hockey sense to play in the top 6 nor does he have that drive to paste guys on the walls with any consistency for a bottom 6 role. I think hes scared of having to throw down and account for his actions... Ya, I gu...

That's what happens when you play in the East. Montreal has 6th best record in the West.
The East also had 5 teams finish with less than 80 points and one that finished with less than 70. Only 2 teams out West had less than 80 points.

Re: The Official CC "All Thing Leaves" thread

That great Leaves defence and their triumvirate of potential Vezina Trophy nominees in goal gave up three fewer goals than the Canucks did this season. Keep in mind the Canucks top two defensemen missed 57 man games between them. Looks like the Leaves are playoff ready.

Is there really rumours of Yzerman linked to Vancouver?
Yzerman is too intelligent to come to the Canucks only to be told by 86 year old Luigi who to trade for, who to sign in free agency and who to hire as coach. Given the weather is much better in Tampa than in Vancouver, why would he?

Re: The Brexit disaster

When I lived in England everyone wanted a Polish builder cos they did superior work. If you wanted to get a job done for cheap, hire one of the local asians, but they'll circumvent building code and all that. Interesting. I had heard from relatives in the building trades that they upset the apple c...

Re: GDT: 06/02/19; Leaves vs Canucks>6pm>SNETP

The Leaves were undefeated when going into the third with the lead, this season. 32-0-0 Make that 32-0-1 Can’t stand those asshole Leaf fans in our house. Hope they all paid $1500 a seat and left depressed. Catch BB in one of the intermissions. He said something along the lines that when the leaves...

Re: GDT: 06/02/19; Leaves vs Canucks>6pm>SNETP

In many ways this might be the most satisfying win of the season: You see all the Leaves fans doing their bullshit, start masturbating each other after building up a 2-0 lead, Craig Simpson whining again about the Leaves' little boys getting bumped and not getting the calls by the officials only to ...

Re: Trade Deadline, Feb.25, 2019 ?

OK. This aint gonna be a well liked post but honesty is imperative, at least to me. Edler has the upper hand, Big-time. Edler is probably going to get in the neighborhood of 6.5 mill for four years with at least two, possibly three years of protection. Last I checked, the rules still state you cann...

Re: Trade Deadline, Feb.25, 2019 ?

But the trade was made at the request of Dahlen. He wanted to be called up or traded. Its as simple as that. Inmates, asylum, etc. Demanding a trade at age 20? Whatever. This move seems very premature to me. Dahlen is still really young. On the other hand, as Carl notes, the Baertschi trade turned ...
