I think you’d pretty much have to add something like a pick just to get rid of Gudbranson. Think Kassian style trade. Or a hockey trade - taking garbage back
Throw Goldy in, get a prospect and a pick,
Done!

Re: Closing out the season (2018/19)

Because Mr. Glass can fetch us the most. This really highlights his value for a team looking to add a RD for the playoff run. Consider how some of the teams that were looking to move assets are now in the hunt, Tanev might be the best available option. Would be very bold to deal Tanev before you se...

Re: Closing out the season (2018/19)

I suspect that if we sign a RH dman who is legit top pairing, then Tanev will be on the move, and his replacement will hopefully be less of a band-aid. Really? Why the fuck would you move Tanev instead of Gudbranson? Thats like giving Edler a 5 year contract when he's only asking for 4!! Did you ba...

As an asside I really hope that Schaller and Granlund playing tonight is to give scouts one last look at these guys. MacEwan and Goldy shouldn’t sit for those two klowns.
Or Jimbro has a possible Goldy deal & doesn't want him injured

Re: Closing out the season (2018/19)

Let them get a taste this year so they work that much harder next season. For Horvat, Boeser, Petey and Hughes to experience playoff atmosphere in Rogers Arena would be be amazing - Hopefully they face the Flames against who they match up nicely - maybe get an upset in the first round. Free agents,...

Re: Canuck News and Notes - 2018-2019

Just listening to sports radio. 80% of players in NHL are under 30 years of age. I found that quite surprising. They went on to make a case to move on from Edler (33yo) and Tanev (30 next year when contract expires). Moving on from those 2 with the D being the weakest link scares me. But perhaps it'...

Re: Closing out the season (2018/19)

the goal to build a winning culture, make playoffs, should always be paramount. The tank mode,Edmonton model, has been proven ineffectual . It does feel like the wheels are about to come off though with all the injuries. The top 6 doesn't seem to have the energy they displayed in the 1st half. But the...

Re: Canucks Young Guns

the rebuild that they were attempting, one that tries to remain competitive and has roster players who are vets that can help show kids what it takes to play in the NHL and are still of an age that they might be useful pieces when the team is winning again. And this, this "re-tool on the fly" conce...

Re: Canucks Young Guns

Rebuild started when the Gillis traded Schneider.
It was apparent they weren't winning with scf core.
Tried to keep a competitive team while the Sedins were still around but were unsuccessful in doing so.

Re: Canucks Young Guns

Kids are coming right along it’s great to see We need to build an addition to the Benning’s Prospect Stable. The current one doesn’t have enough stalls to house all these amazing prospects. Madden,Lockwood,Dahlen,Gadjovich,Woo,Utunen,Juolevi,Lind and that guy named Hughes. Let alone the stallions J...

Re: 2019 NHL ENTRY DRAFT - Vancouver

If Soderstroms in our draft zone (as da dude has pointed out) he & woo will go a long ways in filling RHD needs.
Gadjovich & Dahlen should challenge for a LW position next season, but some more depth at that position is definitely needed.

BPA or positional needs?
In Jimbro we trust

Re: Canuck News and Notes - 2018-2019

Canucks acquire Ryan Spooner from EDM for Sam Gagne JIm Benning is great at drafting !! Right now, I'd like to see a little less moving pricey scrubs around and something that would help the team long term. meh, whats the point of these deals? scrub for scrub, was hoping Canucks were done doing shi...
