Re: Canucks Young Guns

High hopes for Lind and Hoglander this 2020/21 camp, hope one forces themselves onto the team ala Gaudette last year. Podkolzin is a corsi god on his KHL team on the 4th line aka rookie line, playing among grown men in the 2nd best league in the world. Another offseason of training next summer for ...

Re: Canucks News N Notes 2020-2021

Louise Eriksson aka the Air Thief is 30 games away from 1000. How is that ceremony going to play out? It might be time to ship his ass out regardless of the cost. Either that or make damn sure he doesn’t suit up for more than 29 games over the next two seasons. I am strangely comfortable ...

Re: Canucks Young Guns

So assuming training camp starts in a month or so, is there any chance the Euro prospects attend? (Pod,Hog, Jurmo)
Assuming (again) that they have to quarantine before camp, and they would miss a big chunk of their Euro clubs season, is it worth it?

Re: Canucks Young Guns

Petey's appearance on this podcast appears to be problematic for the cancel crew. Help me out here....wtf is this podcast at the root of all this? I'm oblivious to what it is or why his appearance on there matters At around the 23 minute mark they take a minute or two to beat down Burkis. And Burki...

Re: 2020 NHL OFFSEASON

Benning would be wise to have a look at the Rathbone kid before throwing money away on another Jordie Benn type. JR is an intriguing possibility and could surprise. This might be Jimbros plan B if he can't find someone more than adequate at the right price before camp. If no one excels to take a bo...

Re: Canucks News N Notes 2020-2021

Don't need buyouts. Ferland to LTIR and Eriksson and Baertchi to Utica opens up around $5.7 million in cap space. That's plenty of space right there for our purposes. Sutter can continue to take shifts on the fourth line when healthy. He's still good in the room and Jimmy has always dug his room ga...

Re: Around the league (signings, RFAs injuries)

I doubt Leivo will be up to speed after that injury, and suspect it will take him at least half of the upcoming shortened season to regain his former speed and mobility, IF he doesn't have any setbacks.

] Juolevi May yet blossom. Yes you are right he did already blossom but it was end of July not May I believe He played six minutes in a play in game. He’s got a ways to go yet. He’ll be 23 next year. It’s time to prove he was worth being drafted in the first round almost five years ago let alone be...

Re: Canucks News N Notes 2020-2021

...... they are not a real contender yet. They have the nucleus which is the important part. Two elite D men, 4 core forwards and a promise young goalie. They need to drain the swamp over the next two years and fill the roster out with quality youngsters and good depth. Yup, gotta agree, so glad Ji...

Mick, just link shit in your own thread. Its driving everyone nuts. The Mick roasting has lost its comedic value... for which I take very, very seriously Yeah, that's probably because people aren't trying to be funny anymore, they are tired of it and just calling a spade a spade. came here for this

rikster wrote: Wed Oct 14, 2020 6:48 am I guess the next debate could be is the team ahead of schedule because of the way Benning chose to rebuild or would the team be in the same position if it had gone the historical Oilers route?

Take care...
They're ahead of schedule because of Petey & Hughes

Fuckin Petey
