Re: Playoffs

He’s a pretty fringe player on that roster and was a healthy scratch off and on recently

All the more reason to swing for the fences and bring in Erik Karlsson
Only if it doesnt require gutting the franchise. How much is too much?
Theyll want a 1st, a blue chip prospect and a roster player at the absolute minimum. Thats a gut punch
And the roster player will be Boeser or Horvat

Re: Playoffs

Gotta give Gallant massive props. What a job he's done. I don't think there is another coach that could have gotten this kind of a result with the same roster. He did amazing work with a roster in FLA they didn't really have any elite players and now has a system in place with 100% buy in from him ...

Obviously ESQ will point to his icetime last season during the hottest stretch of his career and pronounce him a top 9 guy to prove his point that injuries were such a huge factor in the Canucks shitty season. Seriously? ESQ was involved in a discussion about how much injuries hurt the team ...

Re: The 2018 NHL Entry Draft

I wonder with tkachuk committing to another year of ncaa if his stock will drop some. I also wonder if he’d be a kid that goes right to free agency to play with his brother (coming from a well off family where money might not be the biggest motivator). Papa Keith said no decision has been made yet;...

Re: Trade rumours & armchair pipe dreams 17-18 Sponsored by SKYO

Dorsett would be a 4th liner on most if not all other teams. There’s no way he was keeping that pace up had he stayed healthy. I like Dorsett as he was the only player on the team that had a nutsack. The wheels fell off when Horvat went down. I think he would have ended up on the fourth line where h...

Re: Trade rumours & armchair pipe dreams 17-18 Sponsored by SKYO

Is that why they missed this season? Bad luck? No, but I think bad luck played a role in the Canucks not finishing in the 80-ish point range. Despite missing 6 of their top-9 forwards and half their top-4D for 30ish games, they managed to climb 4 spots in the standings. I think with a bit of luck, ...

Re: Trade rumours & armchair pipe dreams 17-18 Sponsored by SKYO

Bub has been writing off Juolevi since the day he was drafted. This affliction is typically defined as Displaced Aggression, ie - “we didn’t draft Tkachuk???!!! Juolevi is the scum of the earth!!!!” lol what a wad of shit. I haven’t written off anyone. Fact is both Virtanen and Juolevi were not the...

Trymynapkin was pretty brutal if we want to be honest. He oozed potential sure but was far from some prodigious superstar that turned his back on an all star career.
What does that say about Gudbranson?

Re: The Rebuild...

" The biggest change appears to be one that will now have Ryan Suter skate on the same defense pairing as Jonas Brodin. One person that was not a fan of that decision: Ryan Suter. The biggest problem Suter has is the fact that both he and Brodin are left-handed shots, which forces one of them to pl...
