Re: Francesco Ballard

I forget all the minutia but suffice to say that Stan McCammon was not the nicest guy to deal with. Wasn't it Stan McCammon who told Quinn to call Gretzky in the middle of the night to give him a take it or leave it offer? Edit: found it: https://www.sportsnet.ca/hockey/nhl/wayne-gretzky-vancouver-...

Re: From Bountiful to Ponoka

Sinkaruk wasn't going to make the Flames anyway. I don't know about Rychel, but I'm not expecting him to make the Flames. Anyway, looks like Granlund was a good pickup for the Canucks. Hunter is on his last chance to make the NHL - I think he's done. Granlund is a bit better than Shinkaruk and Rych...

Re: The War on Canada

Canada talking tough with the Saudis. I guess we can always hide behind Trump and the US military if things get real. LOL - do you go "Worst Case Scenario" with every thought? :D (Besides, it would be NATO - nobody relies on the US for anything these days) look at our military with their canoes, bi...

Re: Francesco Ballard

C'mon Blobby - 1-2 million is chump change in Mick's world. But honestly, I don't see the point of this thread, except to vent on the inner workings of the team (which most of us are guessing at). And then extending it to bash the GM. carry on... I feel bad for Elmer. I just don’t have a good feeli...

Re: Francesco Ballard

I could give two shits if you think it’s bullshit.

Being a GM in the NHL isn’t a moderate paying job. Wake up

Re: Francesco Ballard

Yeah, I’m not getting good vibes from the Aquabros either - Frankie in particular. The difference is that Ballard was a cheapskate dinosaur. Frankie and his crew aren’t afraid to dig into their deep pockets and are open to new ideas (although more like distracted squirrels than anything else). Fran...

Re: 2019 NHL ENTRY DRAFT - Vancouver

Not going to let Dude throw his dirty diapers around and pollute another thread. It’s about the 2019 draft. Any Islanders get a chance to see Alex Newhook play? Assuming this team doesn’t get any lottery luck, but they should still pick high due to a lack of NHL talent, he could be right in Vancouve...

Francesco Ballard

I have a feeling this Klown is the reincarnate of Harold Ballard.

He’s given the boot to some decent people and now seems to be running a puppet show with Paul Bearer as the lead. This shit will play itself out in the next 12-24 months.

Too bad he got the team over Gaglardi and Beedie.

Re: Trade rumours & armchair pipe dreams 18-19 Sponsored by SKYO

Lol Gudbranson averaged 20 min a game that year. Quite right, he's a top-4 guy. :D In 2/7 seasons he has played top 4 minutes in the NHL. Hockey Reference is your friend. I've crushed this argument a few times and you've offered no response... His icetime shot up in the playoffs to 27 min due to a ...

Lol Gudbranson averaged 20 min a game that year. In 2/7 seasons he has played top 4 minutes in the NHL. Hockey Reference is your friend. His icetime shot up in the playoffs to 27 min due to a couple long ot games. He has been a massive disappointment here. I thought he was more like Dave Manson or S...

What if Gillis had drafted Karlsson instead of Stumpy Legs?
Would have been a great pick.

What is Elmer had drafted Tkachuk instead of Olaf

What if Elmer had drafted Pasternak instead of Virtanen?

Re: 2019 NHL ENTRY DRAFT - Vancouver

Nobody knows what the offers were. Where did you hear this offer? The Cobalt?

He’s a top 10 player in the NHL at 28. If he will agree to an extension the return could be huge.

Re: Trade rumours & armchair pipe dreams 18-19 Sponsored by SKYO

Lol if McCann is garbage, Gudbranson is an AHL player. I’ll take a guy who can score 30 points on the 3rd line making a million over a slug who is bottom pairing on a playoff team scores 8 points a year and makes top 4 money. But he has three or four fights a year I guess. Bonino wanted less ice tim...
