I've also criticized Nazzy a fair bit lately but he's been playing well since returning from the SE. The goal tonight was nice but what I noticed about him was his checking and back checking...and his celebration after scoring the goal. He was showing some passion tonight. He coughed up the puck in ...

They say you can always find something good in a game to build on. Last night's good thing was video of how a team should play. It's a shame the video was of the Avs. It must have been a hell of a good game from an Avs fan's perspective. I didn't see the team 'mailing it in' last night but they were...

On a more focussed note... Linden is the Face, Heart and Soul of the Canucks for many long-time fans. He's the kind of hockey player we want our kids to become if they should be good enough. (and we always think they've got a shot at it.) It's true that, outside of Vancouver, Linden isn't considered...

Trevor may be my favorite Canuck but I have no problem with Bill's comments.

He has an opinion and, more importantly, reasons for that opinion.

I don't agree with his evaluation but I appreciate opposing opinions.

Except for the name calling, this is an enjoyable read.

Great game by Naslund last night. Good to see him playing like a leader. His shootout goal was a thing of beauty. Lets hope he can stay in that space. We obviously can't take points from this S.E. swing like Calgary did but, if we can beat Atlanta, we can use it as a 'process' to turn things around....

I like Ritchie's work ethic but I don't know what his skill set actually is. I'd like to see Linden out there but only if he is going to take matters into his own hands, stop being a nice guy, finish his checks and show some grit and determination on offence. Enough with the careful positioning alre...

I still think Cowan has untapped potential though I haven't seen much of it this season. He has a good shot...usually on net...usually top blocker corner...and he gets it off fast. That's pretty much all I've seen but you'd think that would be a good thing in the PP which needs something new added t...

Nice poem Matt. IMO this is NOT a 'must-win' game. Given the injuries and holes on defence, I'll be thrilled if we're contenders after 60 minutes. Although a win would be thrilling, just being in the game will send a strong message. C'mon guys...you've bonded and had lots of rest. Show us what you'v...

Personally, I think AV's style, while effective, is too simple. Last year he wanted to stress defensive hockey and teach new concepts, positioning and techniques to the remains of a run & gun team that knew very little about good defensive hockey. But that was accomplished the first year and the pla...

I too would like to see Linden back on the ice. To me, Linden is THE face of the franchise. This is his last shot at the cup. He's been sitting in the press box watching his team fritter away that chance. The question is what he would be willing to do about it. Would he be willing to play with an ed...

We know Linden has heart...that's what fuels him in the playoffs. Get him on the ice in an offensive role and see if he remembers how to bring grit to the position. But he needs to get in the scrum like Smyth, not off to the side of the net. His reflexes don't seem to be fast enough anymore for the ...

According to TSN, Raymond is 6' tall and weighs 165 lbs. That's like a puff of smoke wearing a uniform. But he's definitely a speed demon. I'd like to see AV create a full on speed line and put Kesler & Burrows with him though the Kes, Burr, Cookie line is solid for what they do.. Quite frankly thou...

Good points Flying Spaghetti Monster. I've been thinking the same things for awhile now. Last year we were wondering why the Canucks didn't invest more in top-flight trainers so we could get the most out of our roster without affecting the cap. This season started off with a rash of groin injuries s...
