The Buzz: The Canucks’ slide continues with no end in sight. In fact, they looked worse tonight than in previous losses versus Colorado and Calgary and showed no signs of being able to swing this thing around. Their destiny is in their own hands and they’re dropping the ball right now. Turning P...

This would have been a great game to forfeit after the second period if that was at all possible. This thrid period has been useless as both teams are just running out the clock and risk losing a player to injury.

Any ideas out there about how the Canucks can salvage anything from this game. Something they can put towards their next contest? I'm drawing blanks. I think they need to totally rehaul their system for the homestand and just hope for the best. Poor Luongo pulled for the second straight game and aft...

The Canucks started the year laying so well against teams in their own division and that stat has taken a major hit the last couple weeks,

Now it's 3-0. It's all over and done with. The Canucks couldn't come back three down if their lives depended on it.

Wow, have we seen the Canucks have a more disgusting period... even in their recent slump. Absolutely nothing went right for them. Outshot, outhit, outplayed, etc. I totally agree with Randy... it's really tough to watch this unfold. The Canucks four-game homestand is going to be imparative to their...

Congrats to new daddy Roberto Luongo, who must be exhausted, but he looked sharp on the Koivu break. What an emotional last couple days it must have been for Lui. Unfortunately though, he must buckle down now because all of B.C. is relying on him to put the Canucks on his shoulders and march them in...

One thing is for sure, the Canucks are in dire need of turning around this slide. It's looking more and more likely that we'll be discussing the Giants throughout April, rather than the 'Nucks. If the team can put together a good effort tonight, then maybe it can serve as a statement game where they...

The Buzz: The downward spiral continues for the Canucks, at the worst possible time of the year. Notorious Canuck killers Peter Forsberg and Milan Hejduk along with next generation ‘Nuck killer Paul Stastny were largely responsible for Vancouver’s downfall, which was sealed midway through the se...

The worry the Canucks should have is that Nashville's schedule isn't very difficult. They enjoy match-ups against Chicago, St. Louis and Columbus, while the Canucks get Minnesota, Calgary and Edmonton. That just isn't fair!

Things just aren't clicking for this team right now. You get one week where they seem like legit contenders and then you get a week where they look like hopeless pretenders.

And things seem to be going from bad to worse, as is evident with Sami Salo missing the huge gaping net moments ago.

Not a huge surprise that Peter Forsberg manages to play a role on two of the Avalanche goals so far. He's always been a Canuck killer and he might as well continue the trend. In other disparaging news, Brendan Morrison going down is certainly not good news. THe Canucks need all of their weapons... o...

A bad start, but the 'Nucks have turned it around since their first power play and goal. What the Canucks must do at all costs is avoid taking the foot off the pedal, like they did last night. Just keep that sucker pressed down and don't play to preserve the win, but to build on it. Hopefully the le...

The Canucks play is making me queasy to this point. At least a handful of giveaways already in their own zone and we're not even at the halfway point of the 1st. Hopefully this power play turns their play around and if they don't score, they can at least pick up some momentum.

The Buzz: The Canucks let another game slip through their fingers, giving up a two-goal lead, thanks to undisciplined penalties and a lack of passion in their play and Calgary takes over the Northwest Division lead as a result. Turning Point: Alex Burrows delay of game penalty for intentionally knoc...

Very bad timing for the Canucks to take a too many men on the ice penalty. It's the kind of penalty that can kill a team and often does. In a perfect world, the Canucks kill the PP and spring speedy Ryan Shannon on a breakaway coming out of the box.
