For what it's worth (and it may not be much), Eklund is reporting sources saying that Sundin is going to the Habs, to be announced later this week (a cut and paste from his site): YOUR MATS TODAY REPORT Today in Sundin...I am being told more and more that Mats is going to return to the NHL and a sou...

A former Gillis client whom, Gillis said, they had targeted from the get-go. Ah, the competition to sign him must have been fierce.

Depth on D is always good though. And if you can't score, might as well be able to pummel crease-crashers.

How can he be out GM'd because of an "old boys club" when it comes to signing free agents? Aside from that the days of the old boys club are clearly numbered, Gillis and the style of GM he represents is where this whole league will be down the road, it happened in other sports, hockey is not going ...

are you expecting the canucks to sign EVERY big name UFA available. some pluggers are needed for the right fit maybe hes better than the last bunch. who knows. True enough - hence my 'pieces of the puzzle' comment. Look at Detroit - all the players there have a role and fill them well. But we do ha...

Who?

Well, you do need ALL pieces of a puzzle to be successful. But, c'mon, we have a bunch of tenatious, checkers already. Wonder what that means for Burrows. Pettinger? Rypien (well, we know he's an UFA an no offer from the Nucks)? Even Kesler (although I think he's more than a 4th liner).

Gillis has gone silly. He got shut out at the Draft, other GMs have poo-pooed his attempts at trades, and he's desparate - desparate - to make a splash to follow up on his big talk when he got hired. Can you imagine what the Nucks will look like if Gillis can't make a big signing or trade? Sedin and...

Time to revamp the top two lines. The Sedins are great in the regular season but when the play tightens up and the D/checking line focus on them (like in the playoffs or the end of the season), coupled with a lack of another scoring line, they just can't get the Nucks to the next level. They would t...

Very much a surprise - I would have expected, if anyone, that Mason Raymond would be sent down (after he's actually sat out a couple of games). I guess Vigneault and Nonis don't want to risk sending down Isbister or Ritchie (both of whom have contributed far less than Shannon), but then (1) they'd r...

I'd rather have my hands free to clap and make more noise than wave a towel. Clap and stomp. Rather it be deafening than just creating a breeze.

Bieska injured? Say it isn't so.

CBC has been reporting that Bieska was seen leaving the Shark Tank after the game wearing a "walking cast". They later updated that news saying that he went for "precautionary x-rays" and "should be good to go" for the first playoff game. Obviously, given how important Bieska has come to the blue-li...

Re: Terrible Point lost

This talentless, lightbulb-headed hack can take a sure win - A SURE FRICKEN WIN - and singlehandedly send the damned thing right down the drain. I don't think you can say Bulis is talentless - he has talent and the assets to be a great player. However, he's a head case - that aspect of his game is ...

I just got myself a Shaw PVR and ordered the PPV game for today so some friends could come over. I don't know if anyone else had a problem but after having watched the pre-game show, the feed disappeared for the whole first period! Tried calling Shaw but all I got was a busy signal for an hour. :evi...
