Re: So what do we have here...

Fred I don't understand how you can slag Mitchell for his play. For perhaps being injury prone you can throw a dig at him but he is as solid as it gets with his reach and positional play. As for not dropping the gloves I will remind you of this game against Calgary where he gave ol'Jerome a go after...

Re: Bernier ready to make an impact

WCE it all depends whether or not he is wlling to go to the right spot as Anson did and stay there. Having some hands will help aswell. If he tries to hard to keep the cycle going he's gonna fail. The Sedins will have to gain confidence in him being there, ready, or they will simply not use him. We'...

Re: Bernier ready to make an impact

Part of me is uneasy with the idea that so much of our potential success rides on the shoulder's of Bernier. I don't know if it is fair to expect so much from him at this stage of his career. Realistically for us to be a top 6 seed in the west we are going to need him to hit the 30+ goal mark in his...

Searching for Respect - Ryan Kesler

Have the guilty media hounds and fans washed their forks and spoons to chew down that crow? A lot of people jumped all over this kid with unreasonable expectations and unfair criticism early in his career. He is growing into his role at the NHL level in his 3rd full season and is silencing the few r...

Sedins Losing Their Matchup

The Twins are getting the rough treatment this playoff and are being matched against the top checking line and defensive pairing on the other team each night. In round one in terms of the flow of play I thought that the Barnes, Halpern, Lundqvist line outplayed them by a significant margain (With th...

So what do you suggest? Alain stands there at the post game news conference with a dumbfounded look on his face and goes "um ah" acting like a fool that doesn't have the faintest idea how to solve the team problems. You are the one who started a thread with the title "Fire the Coach" with the inten...

Re: Fire the coach!!!

Fire Alain! He's gotta go!! He's lost control of the team and the players are tuning him out. I hope at today's practice he smashes some sticks against the boards and does some serious yelling at the players to wake them out of this coma. So the players aren't listening to him and thus the answer t...

Clam the biggest difference with Reid and Hansen right now is that Hansen is able to make plays at top speed. Reid isn't. _________________ Disagree, I think they play a very similar game and the love in we are having with Hansen this season is the same love in Nuck fans had with Reid the season be...

Very good post, thank tant. Only thing I would like comment on is this: Bieksa...a good game but he really has developed a lazy streak. Needs to continue to sharpen his focus. a task for next year. As you could see from the Thread I started about our defense after Game 3 I raked Bieksa over the coal...

Adorable tant, congrats my internet com padre. Hopefully you can raise her right and keep her away from your brother (he is a fan of that other team, isn't he?). Dallas' D is deep but they can be broken down. Zubov is an ageless wonder and Boucher reminds me Ohlund from 2 seasons ago. Beyond that th...

Defense

Going into the playoffs I thought the biggest strength of this team that no one outside of Vancouver ever talks about was how good the defense corps is when we have a healthy 1 through 6. The addition of Sopel looked to give us a guy capable of playing the 2nd PP unit and able to step up near the 20...

Hansen seems like a nice player in that regard: He can carry the puck into the zone, or he can chase down the puck in the offensive zone on the forecheck all while having the wheels to get back into the play to backcheck. And he's pretty shifty along the boards as well. Good for him. To me Dallas h...

Smith is never going to have most fans on his side because he is always going to have the stigma of a first round bust hanging around him. He has been alright in his role on the 4th line and I perfer him to Santala. In my mind though Green will take Smith's spot the next game or so when he is able t...
