Gotta say, like this one for Calgary

Apparently Hamilton is an A-hole for a teammate. Fox a decent prospect, Ferland whatever. To get Lindholm and Hanafin for that? Not bad
It is a good return, both will need contracts. $4M bridge for each?

Kovalchuk to the Kings, 3-years $18.75M (6.25M cap hit).

35+ contract.

Is that our 3rd? The score draft tracker quit uploading the picks
Woo in the 2nd. Madden in the 3rd.

Drafting Hughes and Woo go a long way to helping our D prospect pool. Woo is a very gritty player and loves to hit

Love this puck
As dirty as it feels to agree with Dude, I also love the Woo pick. Some sandpaper and aggression is most welcome. If he is anything like Bieksa, it’s a fantastic add.

So does Hughes go back to college, he feels he’s NHL ready, or does he sign and play in Utica?
Send him back. Bigger, stronger, more mature years under contract.

Re: The 2018 NHL Entry Draft

Well we’ve never had an elite pp qb in Vancouver. If he becomes that it’s a great pick. We have enough small skill. Benning needs to bring the beef in the rest of the draft. Kinda where I'm at. Would've preferred Dobson/RHD I think, but the skill is definitely there and he didn't jump off the board.

Re: The 2018 NHL Entry Draft

Canucks continue to be a small team. Would’ve preferred Dobson for a more balanced player, but can’t deny Hughes’ skill level.

Canucks re-sign Granlund 1 year / 1.475 mil

Still an RFA next year, hoping he has a bounce back season so next contract is still under Van's control.
Pretty much what most of us were guessing a few days ago.
Yeah, average deal for an average player.

Re: Trade rumours & armchair pipe dreams 18-19 Sponsored by SKYO

Expanding on my thought from the last thread about Taveres. Lets say the Canucks had planned to offer Brock a 8 x 6 m salary = 48m all together. While they have a ton of cap space offer him 15m on a one year deal and then 7 years at 5m = 50m all together (or 8 years). That way his cap hit is reduce...

Road Trippin': The Canucks will embark on 12 road trips this season with six-games away from Rogers Arena being the longest and occurring on three separate occasions ( Oct. 6-18, Nov. 6-15 and Dec. 27-Jan. 5). 14 of the first 21 on the road. We'll know if the playoffs are a possibility by Remembran...
