He’s not a lot better than mantha. Ritchie sure. Also horvat would feed tkachuk his lunch if he ever got mad enough as would virtanen, both guys are bigger and stronger. Bobby Farnham. Virtanen man handled bobby farnham LOL. Are we watching the same fight? I see Jake hanging on, maybe landing one p...

Re: The Official CC "All Thing Leaves" thread

The parade of former Canuck executives turning up with the Leafs continues. They've hired Laurence Gilman as Assistant GM.

Re: Playoffs

Vegas' management team understands what Sbisa is. He's a marginal player being deployed accordingly (6th in dman TOI in the playoffs) by a good hockey team. The Canucks were betting on Sbisa becoming the guy drafted in the first round and playing in the NHL at 18. Almost like Sutter, they doubled do...

Lamouriello heading for the Islanders, apparently already in contact with Tavares.

Re: WC 2018

What has happened to Canada’s goaltending. All the other teams goalies put up brick walls against us but ours were sieves? At this tourney, for sure the goaltending was junk. It's too bad Carey Price needed a break after that brutal season. Keep in mind that half of the starting goalies in the NHL'...

Re: WC 2018

2. McDavd is the most talented player in the world, but I’m not sure he’ll ever win a championship. He is like the complete opposite of clutch. He should have done more in this game, especially at the end with the puck on his stick. You just know Crosby would have scored there. He is trending to be...

Re: Trade rumours & armchair pipe dreams 17-18 Sponsored by SKYO

The goal this offseason, I think, it to reinforce some of that lost depth (that wasn't deep enough). They aren't good enough to make the move now. The way to do it is by taking on a couple contracts from players that can play but their team needs cap space or has internal payroll pressures. Get pic...

Re: Trade rumours & armchair pipe dreams 17-18 Sponsored by SKYO

Maybe we "tend to overstate luck", but keep in mind this is a team where a great defenceman was bitten by the only snake in Finland and had 2 teammates' shots deflect and injure him - one smashing his face and fracturing orbital bone, one rupturing his testicle. This is a team where the best prospe...

Re: The 2018 NHL Entry Draft

I could see the Canucks trading back if there is player a team like the Islanders desperately covet at 7th. If the Isles offer up one of their lottery picks and one of their 2nds for our 7th do you do it? Draft someone like Ty Smith of Barrett Hayton and grab an extra 2nd? Is there a big separation...

Granlund was traded for Shinkaruk
Right, I'm getting my Flames cast-off trades mixed up.

Shink+Rasmus Andersson for Granlund and Baertshi. I suppose it all hinges how Andersson turns out.
