Re: The Great Jim Benning Debate! (And personal insult thread)

GM of the year? If there was such an award should Jimbro Benning be the runaway winner since most everyone, mostly Blob here, predicted the Canucks would be one of the worst teams in the league this year, post Sedin era? He’s got my vote Blob - your thoughts Do you think 20th in the league is good?...

Re: LOL

The only Benning trade I was instantly unhappy with was the Forsling trade, even though I understood the reasoning. I was disappointed in the Kesler return but couldn't fault Benning. Re: Canucks Young Guns

He might have done it as well as it could be done, but it was a foolish plan that cost them resources and time on the real rebuild. So in your opinion your Vancouver Canucks led by a new young core could have been fighting a playoff spot at the deadline ... years earlier? :eh: I guess Ronning's Gho...

anyone continuing to defend these players and these moves is either a troll or a retard.
it's really not as bad as you make it sound.
Blob is clearly doing some "retarded trolling" here...

Re: Canucks Young Guns

Nice post HW. Very pragmatic and unbiased. We can only wish that the BenningHatecrew will eventually follow suit, putting an end to their afflicted views on what otherwise is a fantastic job Jim Benning has done under what most sound minds see as a very difficult environment to manage from Bravo Jim...

Re: Canucks Young Guns

I was group PM’ing with other CC’ers at the the time and we were all flabbergasted with Blob and IN’s inability to understand the difficult circumstances Benning was under due to the colossal mess the previous regime left him with and the demands put on him by the owners and this fickle fan base, an...
