Topic: WHAT 6 Mill a year for Havlat????

What a total joke. Injury prone Havlat is worth 3 mil at most. Sens should count themselves lucky that he's headed out of town. I think Ottawa wins in this deal. They seem to be able to develop these young guys and now they have some cap room to boot.

I love Carter and the Sedins and the way they have played this year but in reality, weren't we expecting the Sedins to finally break out and have a season we have wanted for the past couple of years now? Carter has been the perfect fit and a nice surprise but I don't see how we could pick anyone oth...

Honestly, if the team plays as they did tonight against Dallas we will get in. In my opinion this game was hijacked by the refs who did a terrible job. Turco should have been given at least 10 minutes in penalties in the second period and possibly a game misconduct for his behaviour. We got ripped.

And to add to that, don't you remember all the talk before the pre-season started at what "great shape" Bertuzzi was in as he'd been working really hard etc.? Well, he might be in shape but it certainly doesn't show on the ice, particularly his physical play. I understand the reasons for being a bit...

I agree Mark. I don't see the point in trying to get more offensive production when it's really our defensive side of the game that's the real problem. By the way PlayoffVan, some of us can spell Kesler's name correctly. However, check and "cheque" are two different things here in Canada and we spel...

While the puck's not going in for Kesler I think he has been one of the better Canucks this season. He is skating and checking hard and throwing hits. He is shooting the puck more but getting no luck. I think we're expecting way too much from this kid and considering he is a fourth liner I don't see...

Yep, I see the same thing from McCarthy. He has that expression on his face that he's feeling uptight and overthinking. Of course that could be his regular expression too..Once Bieksa has had some ice time on the farm and if he plays well I'll bet the Canucks will give him a look if they can afford ...

Does Jovo wear the "A" on his jersey? The only reason I ask this is because it seems to me he has played some of his best games when he has been wearing the "C" in Nazzy's absence. This guy loves to play and has a passion and fire for the game. I'll never forget him in the (yes) penalty box in the p...

It really bothers me how Bettman seems to think that Americans don't understand hockey and need silly rule changes to make it more exciting. Plenty of our friends to the south clearly understand and love the game as we do (Detroit, New York, Philadelphia, Minnesota etc.). I like the removal of the c...

I think the NHL numbers are a total joke and a blatant lie. If the numbers were true then they sure as hell would not be holding 12% of players salaries in escrow. The numbers are incredibly bloated. We need to shut down several franchises or at least move them. Florida, Atlanta, Carolina, Washingto...

I just don't see this happening at all. Sounds like another typical rumour coming out of Florida. The team is 8-1-1 and Jovo is a huge part of it and I believe he has 10 points. Unless Jovo "asks" for a trade this season or the Canucks start to tank, then he is going nowhere. In fact, I can almost s...

Since he has no contract with Vancouver we can't call him up anyway. Lets not hit the panic button yet guys, if Minnesota beats us 2 in a row like that I'd be worried. My thoughts exactly. Keane will make a good coach to the young players in Manitoba and build some character. Like Doig, his contrac...

I think that is the Canucks come out flat again on Friday then Crawford will likely make some changes. I can't see him sending Goren down when he didn't even have an opportunity to play last night as Crow went with 7 D instead of including Goren in the line-up. My concern right now would be the play...
