Re: Around the league (signings, RFAs injuries)

I’d assume this will be for 3-4 weeks if they’re lucky. Reduce the schedule and shorten the playoff rounds. It goes much past that, just call the season. IF they are lucky, very lucky it will be 3-4 weeks. But what if the virus situation is worse in 4 weeks? They may not come back at all this year!

Re: Time for a new G-Man?

Defensively this team is a mess. The Coyotes and the Islanders play a similar game. The Islanders were shit the season before Trotz was hired. Green has to make changes to the teams “Team defence” it’s absolutely shit right now and move to the Trotz style of shoot the puck in and forecheck style in...

.If not, I actually wouldn't mind keeping him around for another year (after 2020/21 season) as that's when we'll really need the cap space to re-sign Petey + Hughes. If Loui is on the books for another year, it does hurt our chances to re-sign the trio of Toffoli, Tanev + Marky. When I do the math...

Ferland gets the pass as well due to injuries
Ferland gets a pass yes, but Benning does not. There were concerns in the off season about Ferland's health and concussion history but Benning ignored those and signed him anyway. If he's damaged goods, that's on Benning.

Re: Canucks News n Notes 2019-2020

We all knew that if Biega was getting regular minutes were were in the shitter. I liked the guy. I like his hustle. I like how he tried to play like he was 6” taller. He was the perfect 7-8 Dman . I’m glad it was handled quietly and I respect Benning for accommodating him. I wish him success in Det...

Re: Canucks Contracts

The Canucks should sue the league. Contract was
Within the rules when it was signed then the league retroactively changed the rules. Total bullshit.

Re: Vancouver's Hockey "Media"

Terrible news, I'm shocked. How sad for his family and friends.
Botch was a polarizing figure...controversial and opinionated. I liked that...he ripped the Canucks when it was warranted and it was often.
He was always entertaining.
RIP sir.

Re: Trade rumours & armchair pipe dreams 18-19 Sponsored by SKYO

Canucks don't have many moveable assets. I thought it may have been smarter to deal Dahlen over the summer. There wasn't any rush, really and it seems we ended up with a younger but less talented player. Benning needs to ship out a lot of guys this summer. Some of them may bring back an OK return. ...

Re: Vancouver's Hockey "Media"

I appear to be an absolute minority here - I find Botchford to be insightful. I can see how he would piss off the JB 'knob-gobblers' though. Botch isnt afraid to straight shoot and he has a zany sense of humour. (Now I've really put myself out there on my own little island) I'm with you Nuckster. B...
