Re: 2018-2019 Playoffs - Round 1

Wow. Another top contender, division winner, Nashville ousted in the first round. Time for them to retool.

If I were Benn or Seguin, I would not let the CEO into the dressing room. I'd tell that dude to fuck right off.

Re: Around the league (signings, RFAs injuries)

So the reason Laine wasn't dominating the NHL this year & only scored 30 goals was due to a back injury. Patrik Laine played with a back injury for most of the season and a groin injury hindered him during the Stanley Cup Playoffs, the Winnipeg Jets forward said Monday. Sounds like fortnite injurie...

Re: 2018-2019 Playoffs - Round 1

Blob's favourite general managed & scouted/drafted teams all could be knocked out 1st round. Tampa Bay - swept Flames - out Preds (GM Poile) - down 3-2 in series to the Stars. Jets down 2-0 in game 6, could get knocked out. Just to show, even if you do everything "right" according to the experts, t...

Man, Cale Makar is a good one.

He's going to give the Hughes a run for ROY.

Sounds like Stevie Y is going to become the new Red Wings GM. Ken Holland to move into a Sr. Vice Prez role.

Re: Canuck News and Notes - 2018-2019

Be thankful you don't live in certain parts of Nebraska. https://s3-ca-central-1.amazonaws.com/quincy-network/wp-content/uploads/sites/4/2019/03/Ponca-Flooding7.jpg It was big news around here. thankfully our local area did fine, we're not near a flood plain - but some towns were cut off (other tha...

Re: From Bountiful to Ponoka

Mike Vernon is standing up in that picture. I actually worked with the Architect on his home. In addition to my fee proposal, I asked for an autographed Jersey - he laughed and said sure. Anyway, I still have it - never wore it, and probably never will. It's the only signed jersey I own. That's pre...

Re: Canuck News and Notes - 2018-2019

I wouldn’t be trading either of them just yet. Demko has no value as it is so hang onto the kid and let him develop. From the handful of interviews I’ve heard the kid have he sounds like a well spoken and thoughtful young man. Goalies like pitchers are all flakes. Yeah, let's see what Demko can do ...

Re: Canuck News and Notes - 2018-2019

Bad move to keep Marky over Demko. The quirky dude is in the same age group as our core, he's shown his improving game. Dare I say, his development has been very smooth and quick for a goalie. Marky had one good year and is nearing the age where all goalies take a nosedive in every category, while D...

Re: Canuck News and Notes - 2018-2019

Is Demko a flake in a negative way or a David Booth "weird dude" kind of way?
