Re: Canuck News and Notes - 2018-2019

Still on the fence. Likely to jump into one yard or another very soon.

Re: Around the league (signings, RFAs injuries)

I realize a player, for the record, LOL, shouldn't be involved in such talks.
If he talks to McDavid, he may well say Tanev would be great. He's seen his share of him and he's not an easy guy to blow past.
Just pondering.

Re: Around the league (signings, RFAs injuries)

This is a really tough call.
Honestly, the only top ranked D-men we have are Edler and Tanev.
But, at the same time, this is a good draft class and Tanev will probably continue with the non-career threatening injuries and miss 30 games.
I guess I'd need a prospect too.

Re: Trade rumours & armchair pipe dreams 17-18 Sponsored by SKYO

You guys think Karlsson’s ankle is gonna make him less of a player now and in the future? https://www.tsn.ca/talent/karlsson-reveals-more-about-ankle-injury-1.868641 That's a really good question. He is dedicated, tough as nails and a world of talent but I still can't answer the question. All I cou...

Re: 2018 NHL DRAFT - Who does JB take.

I guessed Dobson, but it’s a crapshoot. No idea how the 4-5 picks before us will go so obviously depends on that. Also depends on any trades we make between now and Friday as that could change organizational needs. Based upon history, Canucks will make zero trades. Say something that no offers were...

Re: The 2018 NHL Entry Draft

From McKeens: https://www.mckeenshockey.com/nhl-blog/2018-nhl-draft-mailbag/ Ryan - McKeens: They should just trade down a few spots and take whichever of Hughes, Bouchard, Dobson, or Boqvist that is left on the board. Not coincidentally, that is the order we rank the group of post-Dahlin defenseme...

Re: 2018 NHL DRAFT - Who does JB take.

Since everyone is revealing who they picked; May as well do the same. I went with Bouchard. My second choice of course, would be Dobson. Just like Meds said; Points from the backend, WOW, great concept. We could boldly go where, well, somewhere we haven't in a long spell. No clue what the hype about...

Re: The 2018 NHL Entry Draft

What I want to know is if there is anyway to rank the picks according to their likelihood of suffering a career ending injury? Of all the teams, the Canucks should find some coded algorithm to measure injury potential for their analysis. I fear for the safety of whoever they end up taking. I think ...

Re: The 2018 NHL Entry Draft

I have watched highlight reels and listened to people that have, "actually been", to games, ad nauseum. and firmly believe Bouchard's
skating is not an issue.

Re: The 2018 NHL Entry Draft

Apparently the Canuck brass were not impressed with Hughes after their sit down interview/meet with him at the combine. Curious as to why? Well, it could be his wee structure but my guess would be that the Nucks are, first of all in Canada, and as far away from home as he could go. So he just gave ...

Re: Canucks News and Notes 2017-2018

^^ I like Boucher’s shot but honestly he has t shown much. To me Goldobin has more upside. Agreed. Boucher hasn't been able to take the next step & develop the ability to get that shot on target when it counts, & from where it counts. Yeah, he was in great position to score many times. Good on him ...
