Re: Re-booted SKYO approved pipe dreams and trade ideas
I’m seeing a Buffalo trade somewhere. Apparently Dahlin and Petey are buddies. 1. Tuch’s wife is from Vancouver. 2. Byram is from Vancouver, flip them Hronek 3. Peterka is an RFA and wants to be shown the money 3. Benson is from Vancouver, flip them Hoglander 4. Norris - Quinn’s buddy Etc. Etc. Etc. ...

Re: Re-booted SKYO approved pipe dreams and trade ideas
One thing I can see being attractive about Vancouver's lack of scoring forward depth is that college and Euro free agents may see a relatively direct path to the Show. Or is this too optimistic? I don't really know any free agents, but the Canucks signing one gave me the thought

Re: 2025 NHL Draft Class
Cullen Potter interests me, 5-10 but supposedly elite skating, high end skill. Was ranked initially in the 30s but moving up. It’s a speed game and I’d be looking for the highest ceiling - a diligent bottom 6 forward with good details can be acquired elsewhere but you should draft for star potential

I hope and expect that they will use all that cap, but maybe to facilitate other trades not just add to their system.
Soucy was strangely bad to start the season, not as talked about as Demko and the Alien War but wasn’t sharp. Bizarre year

Re: Re-booted SKYO approved pipe dreams and trade ideas
Ah. Well what about the general idea that QH is not the secret GM but is consulted on trades? As a way of keeping him empowered but also for his take on who is has the right stuff?

Re: Re-booted SKYO approved pipe dreams and trade ideas
Josh Norris is QH’s best friend in hockey and a burgeoning two way centre with upside, but possibly tradeable from Ottawa due to his injury history. Hate to buy a cracked pot but this seems like the best way to show QH that you care about the team and also having an ally in a very likely still f ...

Re: Canucks News N Notes 24-25
I get that Hoglander is often being in the doghouse but he is a dawg player potentially - maybe Tocchet is developing not burying him? He has wheels and skill, not abundant here. In retrospect I can’t think of a better fit for EP40 since they jettisoned Kuz. But EP40 seems to be so at sea…is it sys ...

Re: Canucks News N Notes 24-25
M-Petey seemed like the only defenceman on the Penguins, in terms of knowing where to be. He actually stood out and that unit is now happily on its way to a lottery pick. I have been pining for Z for his unique set of skills but am persuaded that spending the money on a guy you don’t necessarily n ...

Re: JT Miller Traded to NYR + Marcus Pettersson Acquired from Pens
Do you think EP thinks he’s won? Would this relax him or make him clench more?
I wonder given his (temporary?) primacy as the game breaking talent if he is being consulted about the type of wingers he needs to get out of the slump. More retrieval, protection, Russian-ness, etc

I wonder how his wife is taking it. On one hand it sucks to have to pack up during the school year, but she is from New York (or so I read somewhere) and it is fun to be a Ranger and good for the Instagram.
