Re: 2019 NHL ENTRY DRAFT - Vancouver

Sure.

I am just saying that nobody was going to bend Tampa over for a player because of contract issues. (Like Toronto got it)

Now, a 1st and a 3rd seems steep, unless he delivers 4x 20 goal/50 point seasons. He delivers that, you can't really bitch about the picks imo

Re: 2019 NHL ENTRY DRAFT - Vancouver

With Callahan on permanent LTIR, Tampa isn't up against the cap like everyone seems to think. Brisebois seemed to think they were "up against the cap" and made the move to clear cap space: "Eventually we were going to have to unload some players and unfortunately today was one of those days. We had...

Re: 2019 NHL ENTRY DRAFT - Vancouver

How are you supposed to get J.T. Millers without giving up something of value? It would have been great to move out a roster player for Miller...but none of our roster players that are considered moveable have that much value. And without trade protection, he could likely return a1st rounder in a y...

Re: 2019 NHL ENTRY DRAFT - Vancouver

I don't judge transactions against perfection.....sure I'd like to see the team win every deal but that isn't based on reality... I base the job Bennings done against the other GM's in the leagues track records... If we are throwing around assumptions to make our arguments, I'm assuming that there ...

Re: Canucks News n Notes 2019-2020

. I think it looks better now then a few days ago in regards to attracting a free agent defense man such as Myers or Gardiner. With the young exciting core and players we have and now with the addition of a well respected player like J.T. Miller, it indicates that the Canucks are serious about bein...

Re: Canucks News n Notes 2019-2020

Miller - Petersson - Boeser Pearson - Horvat - Virtanen/Baertschi Goldobin - Gaudette - Baertschi/Virtanen Grandlund - Beagle - Sutter Motte - Levio That's actually a forward lineup with some depth, and if we get some improvement from 2 of Goldobin, Virtanen and/or Gaudette, it's looking really dece...

Re: 2019 NHL ENTRY DRAFT - Vancouver

Well, I'll give this to JB... he just improved our only 'strength' on this team! Nothing like adding another middle 6 winger! In reality, while a bit of an overpayment when looked at as a single transaction, I will wait to see what the big picture view Looks like after all the moves take place befor...

Re: Canucks News n Notes 2019-2020

if Luongo retires now our cap recapture is just over 2.8 M per for the next three years. But if he waits a years it’s over 4.5 for 2 years and if he waits 2 more years it’s a whopping 8.5 for one year. Ya, if he’s going to retire and not go on LTIR it’s better for us if he does it this year. Thank ...

Re: Canucks News n Notes 2019-2020

If Chiarelli is coming our way I'd say it's the wops doing... If its Chiarelli under Benning....tables turned....could be intriguing. I think hockey widow wrote about how Benning did a lot of the orchestrating of moves in Boston. If Pete comes here to handle the business side of things and leaves t...

Re: The Official CC "All Thing Leaves" thread

"20 years a fan" yet the first we hear anything of it is when they are like two games from a championship. What a dipshit. Actually, that part makes sense; who the hell talks about volleyball at a hockey forum? :eh: Or basketball, was it? I mean, it it was an important sport, like curling, sure, bu...
