Re: Canucks Preseason - 2022
Aman and Hoglander are different than Karlsson and Rathbone. They made the team because he outplayed others. Karlsson and Rathbone are on the club because of injuries and because they don’t need to clear waivers. As soon as Boeser, Mikheyev and one defensemen is back, pretty sure Karlsson is sent d...

Re: Around the league (signings, RFAs injuries)
LOL, ChaseOn made another team? The guy who said he was Chiasson got released from his PTO by the Yotes and is probably done in the NHL. However, if you believe the intel that Karlsson is the real Chiasson in disguise, he’s still with the Canucks at least until a few bodies return from the IR.

Only RHD on waivers is Tampa’s Philippe Myers 2.55m cap hit, maybe a Myers for Myers short term replacement, but probably not.

Re: Around the league (signings, RFAs injuries)
Coyotes claim Juuso Valimaki.
Canucks never had a chance.
MacEwen and Gaudette on waivers today.
Last day for waiver claims before roster is set.
Lots of names listed today.

Re: Around the league (signings, RFAs injuries)
Cap compliance and rosters need to be into the NHL head office in two days, Monday at 2:00. If the Canucks are going to get a waiver claim it should come from today’s waiver list or tomorrow’s.

Re: Canucks Preseason - 2022
If they send down all their waivers only seven D left and no extra forwards until Boeser, Mikheyev, Myers and Dermott get back. They must be expecting at least one of those forward will be ready for Wednesday. The D looks like: Hughes Schenn OEL Poolman Stillman Burroughs Rathbone Allvin must be hap...

Re: Canucks Preseason - 2022
They paid a second round pick to gain 1.3 million in cap space for each of the next two years. They can bury up to $1,125,000.00 of Stillman’s contract in the AHL, while $225,000 would be on the cap. He’s a warm body is all. Seems like a stiff price to pay to get out of Dickinson’s contract but it ...

Re: Canucks Preseason - 2022
If Stillman and Burroughs can PK as a bottom pairing decently, they need that way more than more scoring from Wolanin or Rathbone, since Hughes and OEL will get all the PP minutes. If Wolanin outplayed Rathbone, perhaps Rathbone is headed back to Abby.

If they do win the lottery, it’d be great if Bedard refused to report to Arizona.

Re: Canucks Preseason - 2022
He may stick for a bit until someone comes off IR, but 5 LHD active and Dermott returning means his days are numbered.
Starting Dmen may be:
Hughes Schenn
OEL Poolman
Rathbone Burroughs
Stillman
Wolanin
IR
Myers
Dermott
Or maybe a trade?
