Re: Early Coaching Change? Yay or Nay.
Very disappointing start to the season. I can’t remember the last time we saw so many two one ones, break always, and two on nones. Turn over after turn over is just killing the team. The players are mostly to blame, often the stars. They’ve been making horrible blunders every game. However, there i...

Gaudette out, MacEwen in. Gaudette wasn’t getting back very well, so it might help.
They need a big game.
Nice to see Edler back.

Still haven’t got a line-up?
Is Green still deciding if Loui should go in for Rafferty?
Going forward heavy tonight?
They had only one Dman back for most of the last game.
Maybe Green will go with a four-forward, one-defenseman set.
Why fight it?

Why the fuck wouldn't Green start Macewen & Benn?![]()
They can leave their sticks and gloves on the bench for the first shift.

I’d be inclined to switch MacEwen for Hoglander for just this one game. Hoglander still fighting nerves at times. This would be a good game to sit and watch. Start Roussel, Horvat, MacEwen, Myers and Benn and goad the Habs into a brawl right off the hop. Captain vs Captain, Gallagher pummelled by Bo...

Pretty fair trade that gets rid of problems for both teams. I’d like either package.

How did Nolan Bumgartner qualify as a defensive coach i wonder...? Was he some prodigious junior or something? I remember a middling average at best jordy benn type and it seems thats the game the canucks defense are playing... :hmmm: He's OK for a trainer but not a coach who Green has stated takes...

Is that confirmed? I thought we’d see Rathbone or Breeeezebois in for him after the last game.

Re: Around the league (signings, RFAs injuries)
Has Biden's quarantine reg kicked in yet or is PLD the only one who has to sit at home the next 2 weeks. Will PLD be any happier in Winnipeg than he was in Columbus? Is anyone happier in Winnipeg than they were elsewhere? His dad works for the Jets. Who would you be happier working with your dad or...

Re: Canucks News N Notes 2020-2021
I really don't recall ever being as shocked and disappointed by a start to a season, they should be a way better team than this. Not even close. May I present Bill Laforge as exhibit A: LaForge was 32 years old when hired to coach in the National Hockey League. LaForge was announced as the new head...

Re: Early Coaching Change? Yay or Nay.
Yes, absolutely. I was never completely sold on Green, though the playoffs kind of had me on board, and I think much like Newell Brown, Green has looked better than he is because of the arrival of Hughes, Pettersson, and Boeser along with the last two years of goaltending Markstrom provided. Voted ...

Re: Early Coaching Change? Yay or Nay.
Just because I’m trashing Green doesn’t mean I want him fired.
I voted “no.”
I’m just pointing out some reason he might get fired.
But ultimately I’m only happy if he wins.

Re: Early Coaching Change? Yay or Nay.
See if Ken Hitchcock could whip em into shape. I doubt he’s interested but it might be worth a phone call. I voted no. Give Green a half dozen more games. Sure glad he wasn’t extended though. Now we’re talking. Hitch would be great short term, but I think he’s done. What they really need i...

Re: Early Coaching Change? Yay or Nay.
I’m going to say nay if these are the best choices to replace Green. But Green is in charge of the lineup, and the buck stops with him. No way Hamonic earned a spot over Chatfield or Juolevi, yet he was gifted a spot and it cost games. Green keeps deferring to veterans too much. Is Roussel so much b...
