Re: Goalies moving forward.

I’m pretty sure you can expose a UFA that played for the team that year.
Lundquist at 38, if signed, would be a year-by-year contract.

At least the Free Agent goalie depth gets a little deeper if the Canucks need another.

Re: Trade rumours & armchair pipe dreams 19-20 Sponsored by SKYO

Armchair GMing bigly here. How about signing Toffoli and letting Marky walk. Then trading Loui for Lundquist. Lundquist might wave to come to Vancouver since he has been displaced in NY by a couple kids in net, and Vancouver has a history with Swedes. So instead of a cap hit of 6m for Loui for two ...

Re: Trade rumours & armchair pipe dreams 19-20 Sponsored by SKYO

They won't get equivalent value back for Eichel, they'll have to take a package if they want to move him. He is at the same level as Petey or Hughes, but I wouldn't move Petey or Hughes for him, just because they are already established Canucks and I wouldn't see how the trade would help the team ov...

September 28th 2020 / 17 minutes with Rick Dhaliwal on TSN 1040am. https://www.tsn.ca/radio/vancouver-1040/dhaliwal-both-sides-really-want-to-get-a-markstrom-deal-done-1.1531070 Nothing imminent on the big three FAs, Tanev, Markstrom and Toffoli except he thinks the Toffoli camp will have to wait t...

Re: Pre-draft & pre-free-agent day speculation

I disagree on Myers, all Hughes needs is a decent defensive dman, thus having big Tyler Myers defensive power on D will help Hughes do what does best and help the forwards score. Look at it like a Brian Leetch with Jeff Beukeboom or Erik Karlsson with Marc Methot, all these type of QB dmen need is ...

Re: Pre-draft & pre-free-agent day speculation

I think there will be much less action than speculated. I expect a Toffoli signing and the other UFAs going to market. The top six will stay the same as the playoffs to start next season. MacEwen and Hoglander will push the status quo to join the bottom six. I think the RFAs will be qualified. Benni...

Re: Trade rumours & armchair pipe dreams 19-20 Sponsored by SKYO

There was one summer everyone was certain Bieksa was a goner from the team and the rumours were flying. The next season there he was still in the line-up. I expect the same to happen with Jake. I’m not sure about Toffoli, but I’m pretty sure both Marky and Tanev are going to market. If that’s the ca...

Re: Canucks Young Guns

Rafferty & Rathbone I hear promising comments/observations made about both of these defenseman. I guess its fairly normal to want see a future with rose-coloured glasses and all. But realistically, what do posters suppose is the likelihood that one or both could end up in the line-up this year or n...

𝗖𝗵𝗿𝗶𝘀 Faber 🤙🔥🎙@ChrisFaber39 I’m hearing that there is a serious Covid-19 outbreak through SKA’s organization. (Vasili Podkolzin’s team) The coaching staff and up to 10 players have contracted the virus. The coaches will not be on the bench today. The owner will apparently be coaching the team toda...

Makar :( but I wouldn’t trade Hughes for him.
Not nice to see Messier presenting to Draisaitl.
Hate that guy.
Whoever came up with this Edmonton theme is on fentanyl.

Re: Goalies moving forward.

Benning should make a final offer to Marky soon and if not accepted then trade his rights to someone who wants to negotiate with Marky back east. It may get a draft pick and it let’s all the other UFAs and RFAs know it is time to sign what’s offered or they’re choosing to move to another club. Time’...
