Re: Playoffs

"Worth exposing in draft" and "throw-in depth defenceman" both work out to the same thing: not a very valuable player. OK then we agree: the right player to expose. But that being the case, clearly that shows that Benning didn't get much value for Kesler in the trade, if one of the pieces was (demo...

Man I laughed so freaking loud in my office, I think people thought I was nuts.
You should tell them what you were laughing about, then they would know.

Evander Kane has re-signed 7x7 with the Sharks.
I'm not surprised, $7M x 7 is what I've been saying he'd get for some time now...

Re: Playoffs

Canucks needed a physical #5 dman so they had Sbisa included in the Kesler trade as a throw-in. Giving up a physical #5 dman in the expansion draft is pretty good considering what other teams gave up. BTW is a physical #5 dman who can fill-in in the top-4 a "good player" or a "poor player"?? :? (or...

On that basis I would go with Dobson or Walstrom . No Swedes !
Wahlstrom is half Swedish, a dual-citizen of America and Sweden.

Is that too much? :)

Re: Playoffs

No assessment of Sbisa's ability favours the ownership/management group that made him part of the Canucks organization. If he is a good player , then they were savvy in getting him as part of the Kesler trade, but fools to leave him exposed. If he is a poor player , then they were wise to expose hi...

Tend to signify enforcer, no?
Where ever he was though, always heard valuable team-mate and a fan fave.
Signifies energy player who sticks up for his teammates

... and he was a key member of our #1 PK unit when he went down last season.

Obviously ESQ will point to his icetime last season during the hottest stretch of his career and pronounce him a top 9 guy to prove his point that injuries were such a huge factor in the Canucks shitty season. Seriously? ESQ was involved in a discussion about how much injuries hurt the team ...

Re: The 2018 NHL Entry Draft

I wonder with tkachuk committing to another year of ncaa if his stock will drop some. I also wonder if he’d be a kid that goes right to free agency to play with his brother (coming from a well off family where money might not be the biggest motivator). Papa Keith said no decision has been made yet;...
