Re: Around the league (signings, RFAs injuries)

Congratulations upon reaching the pinnacle of mediocrity in your posting career. 8-) lol Are you for real? You have contributed basically zero to the "hockey talk" discourse over the past 10 years, yet have the balls to criticise a consistently good poster like Tant.... How about you shuffle back t...

Re: Home Construction Discussion

My fault for expecting someone might come up with a decent response.....like say .50 a sq foot or something. The hockey forum has gone to hell , may as well drag this one down with it. Just saw your post Blob. 50 cents a square (wall space) isn't far off. And don't do it yourself you will will just...

Re: Around the league (signings, RFAs injuries)

Potatoe, Gillis didn't keep Luongo so he could win us games this year, he kept him cause of his massive ego battle with other GM's and now that is coming back and biting him in his fat ass, but hey that is just pure ignorance combined with arrogance, and this team is the loser for it, This is nonse...

Re: Around the league (signings, RFAs injuries)

You don't even hear rumours about Luongo anymore. There's just nowhere for him to be traded too. He's under contract until he's 43. Ridiculous. Lots of rumors he is going to the leaves. Makes sense given the they are likely going to the playoffs and the Canucks are even more desperate for a center....

Re: From Bountiful to Ponoka

Ken King now throwing Iginla under the bus. This from Cowpuke: Ken King interview on sportnet today. -Iginla forced flames hands, would only agree to go to pits -should of had iginlas list of preferred teams in writing -says management thought the team would compete this year -backhandedly admits t...

Re: Around the league (signings, RFAs injuries)

Good points.... however did you not think Henrik was excellent in last years post season ? Agreed. Not saying they can't have another good run, hopefully they can kick it up. Maybe anger was a poor choice of words... I don't think they really have it in them, though I have enough for both. I guess ...

Re: Around the league (signings, RFAs injuries)

Remember, not so long ago in fact, when you all slagged ole Boi RD for saying that the best years are behind the 33 year old Sedins with all you saying things like "THEY HAVE LOTS OF AMAZING HOCKEY LEFT IN THEM YA TROLL! They do have lots of excellent hockey left. That said, very few forwards peak ...

Re: Around the league (signings, RFAs injuries)

This years playoffs will tell us all we need to know about the twins. I thought their compete level was excellent in the brief series last year. They seem to be a bit more angry on the ice this season. An edge I have never seen before with these guys. Getting angry is a negative as far as I'm conce...

Re: Around the league (signings, RFAs injuries)

The Sedins aren't in decline skill-wise or physically. Not sure I agree. They are still very good players but their point totals and defensive game have been dropping year over year. More importantly however their ability to kick it up and dominate the later parts of close games just does not seem ...

Re: From Bountiful to Ponoka

Iggy would come to Vancouver under the right circumstances. The problem is if you give up too much and he isn't re-signed then you are hooped. I highly doubt he even thinks about an extension unless it is with Calgary. If he is traded he will wait until July 1 to get a deal. Cousin Kevin says Iginl...

Re: Around the league (signings, RFAs injuries)

Honestly I'd love to have Getzlaf on the Canucks. Of course you would. Every team in the league with the ability to squeeze him under their internal or external salary cap would take him at this price. That is why this "bad contract" stuff is such nonsense. If just about everyone would love to have...

Re: Around the league (signings, RFAs injuries)

Actually it does matter matter what I "think" about Getzlaf's contract. I'm indirectly subsidizing his contract by buying Canucks tickets, buying Canucks jerseys, etc. etc. ,because Anaheim is inept at running their franchise properly. I don't think you understand how the NHL revenue sharing system...
