Re: the paranoia of the canuck fanbase

(Sigh). Crappy time of year for the hockey (Canuck) enthusiast. Pissing contests aren't particularly entertaining either. Heading back east on the 16th to visit my sister in north bay, ont. for a couple of weeks. Gawd help me when it comes to swilling the ipa and conversing with the maple leaf fanat...

Re: What to do with Hughes

He’s already better than everybody on the left side not named edler. I got a kick out of hearing Botchford in a podcast losing his shit cause he didn't see any room for Hughes given all the defencemen that are signed already. He made a good point though ( as others have) that he's already the best ...

Re: The Rebuild...

Sam Gagner is the most expendable, he has no NTC and only two years left on deal, he's a creative right shot center who has shown to be a 40 pt guy all his pro career. But alas if the team is looking to contend in a few years, the time is ripe to bring in and develop Adam Gaudette as a center right...

Re: The Rebuild...

I'm thinking, (more hoping), Gagner will be moved. MDZ may be on borrowed time too, but only if Hughes sticks and plays, (big maybe). Can't see a spot for old man Hutton either. For Hutton to stay, he will have to "A Super Hero" in preseason. Im in agreement with ya ole man - ( said the 55 year old...

Re: The Rebuild...

Two rookie centers together... nay. I've mentioned Gaudette could start 3rd line center like Alex Kerfoot did on the Avs. And him being a 200ft type, he'd suit that role admirably. I just think we'd have to move Sam Gagner to make a roster spot for Gaud. Goodness, we wouldnt want to see Gags, the o...

Re: The Rebuild...

Gaudette had a so/so run last season offensively and until he can convert some of those moves hes got into goals he'll have to earn a spot like 2C. Thats not a knock on the kid btw before you guys jump me its more that his tea is still too weak and need a few more minutes in the pot. So here's a qu...

Re: The Rebuild...

I hear lots of talk about having EP in the line-up to start the year and some talk about Hughes, but there seems to be very little talk about the prospect of having Gaudette in the line up. Here we have the Hobey Baker winner who's a center who has a reputation/history for scoring goals (no small de...

Re: Free Agency 2018 & Everything Related

This article is in synch with a number of people's view regarding this year's FA: https://www.tsn.ca/talent/canucks-take-a-curious-approach-to-free-agency-1.1129744 An alternate view to JBs, might be to seek to obtain a legit seasoned play-making center to play alongside Petterson, rather than opt f...

Re: Canuck News and Notes - 2018-2019

Guess people just see what they want to - hilarious that this would be considered whining. Yep...anything that goes against the grain of the cult is considered whining. Don’t question anything. Me thinks that there are a number of people who post here that recognize the cultish nature of a number o...

Re: From Bountiful to Ponoka

Meds, your assertions are well thought out; I can't really argue with what you have posted here re: Neal's stats and value/productively. My view regarding his value is more based on intangibles and a perception that I have about the presence/leadership he tends to bring to a team. He's a big fellah ...

Re: From Bountiful to Ponoka

What a solid signing! I was hopeful that the Canucks would sign him and put him on a line with Petterson and maybe Gaudette as the centerman (wishful thinking i guess). He will get the Flames into the playoffs. Shit.

Re: Free Agency 2018 & Everything Related

I read somewhere that James Neal was spotted in Vancouver last night, which raises some speculation for sure. Though we likely don't need another right winger, i think he would be a solid dude to have on the roster. We'll see if there's anything to this.
