Re: Canucks camp & preseason 2018/2019

The way this rebuild is shaking out offers this long suffering fan some hope. The Swede looks good if tentative, and you can easily see potential in Dahlen. The pick of Hughes may prove to be a real winner but it all starts and ends with Horvat. The one real gift Mike Gillis left us. Let's play hock...

The two standouts on Canucks was certainly JV with nods to Hutton and also this kid Sautner as the moment I wrote it Rattie undressed Hutton who looked like a post. Makes me appreciate the drive it takes to be good at this level.

Re: The Official CC "All Thing Leaves" thread

The Leafs are going to be fun to watch and their PP will be death on skates. Fun but the critics have it right about their D. Without that strong blue line the games will turn into shootouts. A lot of fun to watch but not a recipe for the Cup. They are getting there however and if they bring the Cup...

Re: The 2018 NHL Entry Draft

Benning just bet his job on a small D. I trust his instincts in player skill and as has been noted, he looked 'over the moon'. Let's hope this bet works. I like the choice as that is where the game is going.

Re: The 2018 NHL Entry Draft

While it would be nice to get a top D, I am looking at this kid Velano. Sure he is up front but he has size and talent. BPA.

Re: Draft Lottery Winner

7th After the last two lotto's - I'm mentally ok and acceptive of that, if the lotto gods want the Canucks to not have it easy, so be it, who doesn't like a challenge!?! amiright? 8-) 7th you're looking at a good slew of dmen anyways - Boqvist could fall, but more likely the dmen avail is Hughes wi...

Nice goal by Goldobin. He’s finding his NHL game.

The Foundation with a nice steal and set up.
This kid Goldobin is potentially a steal by Benning. When he finds his confidence watch out!

Re: Canucks News and Notes 2017-2018

I agree that Linden has not been all we wanted BUT go back to the 96 playoffs and take a look. For one series he was almost Superman. Certainly the Rangers thought so.

As far as how Blobs ass tastes it depends on the time of the day combined with the last time he had a bowel movement. Overall the taste ranges from strawberry milkshake to bitter dark chocolate. I hopE this puts an end to this subject.

in retrospect Benning should not have traded Bieksa. he was the only real guts we had and our young D could learn from him. Maybe it was Gillis but they screwed up.

Trump does appear to have some dictatorial tenancies Yet you say he "hasn't passed any major legislation". :hmmm: On example might be his refusal to hold regular press conferences. Another might be the White House holding press briefings without permitting cameras. Yet another might be his constant...

Re: Around the league (signings, RFAs injuries)

The sad part of this whole thing is that Arizona is seen as a more desirable place to play than Vancouver 1. Rumour. 2. One particular guy. It IS a team with a lot more young talent. And it IS a city with far superior weather. These two things can't be debated Have u been there in the summer?
