Re: Canucks News and Notes 2017-2018

Apparently it’s a three year extension. Definitely a year too long but they probably wanted to sync it up with Greens deal. Thinking the same thing... Team should make the playoffs in 2 years and then in the final year of both coach and GM they should win a round or two. If after the 3 years the te...

Re: The 2018 NHL Entry Draft

It's simply a marvel that the Oilers are in the running for their 5th 1st overall draft pick in the last 8 drafts. I n those 8 years there was also a 3rd overall pick and a 7th overall pick . Just disgusting. The league needs to use all its might to stop the Coil from walking out of this draft with...

Re: The Official CC "All Thing Leaves" thread

Horton
Lupul
Soshnikov

They cheat and circumvent the cap. Does the league have the balls to call them out?

Re: Canucks Young Guns

Vic I'm looking at how the probable Vezina trophy MVP goalie Andrei Vasilevskiy was developed, the Lightning developed him by giving him SOME NHL games every year while they had Bishop there. There's no hard rule on how to properly develop a goalie, no proper template, it's just if he's ready or no...

Re: Canucks Young Guns

I think the point would be that a couple of games in the NHL regular season will tell Canucks management more about whether he's ready to move up next season than any number of preseason games would, and they would have the information sooner and could use it for planning purposes. I suppose the un...

Re: Canucks Young Guns

I'd like to see Demko get 5-10 NHL games this season, get the jitters out, I think it can only help him for next season to get even more NHL games, gotta prepare him for a full time backup role, because if Marky gets injured Demko will get even more games..if he makes the NHL as a backup next seaso...

Re: What to do about the Sedins? (Poll)

Why do they need to wait until the summer? What will change in the next 3-4 months? Just resign for 1 year now at what ever value contract they sign for. Then JB knows what he has to work for in the off season. Plus I think it is 90% sure they coming back unless there is something not smelling righ...

Re: What to do about the Sedins? (Poll)

Just because there is cap space doesn’t mean it constantly needs to pissed away. It's not your money so it doesn't make a difference - pissing away cap space only hurts contending teams. If the Canucks were considered a year or two away from a cup then 5 mil each is pissing away cap space because t...

Anyone heard anything on Horvats progress?
Thought I heard/read somewhere after the break he'll be back.
After the 5 day break or after the All Star break?

Re: Trade rumours & armchair pipe dreams 17-18 Sponsored by SKYO

Lol so you’re thinking this season was going to be a playoff year? Yep, by the quarter-mark I was believing they'd be in the hunt for a wild-card. 50/50 whether they'd make it, but at least they were looking competitive. They were above .500 until the injuries, and if they'd stayed at .500 they'd b...

Re: The Rebuild...

So is there a way to lock the Boeser kid up long term before he decides he wants to play for a different team or he doesn’t like the coach or the Vancouver rain or some shit? Canuck luck demands a progressive approach! He'll get Johnny Gaudreau, Pastrnak type money, $6.5m-$7m per x 8 years...maybe ...

Re: Canucks News and Notes 2017-2018

He’s had four years to bring in some depth that can play on the free agent market and trade market. His decisions s were Sutter, Eriksson, Gagner, Del Zotto ,Gudbranson and Vanek. You can add Burmistrov in there and Nilsson but they are doing ok for what they are paid, but other than Vanek that’s a...
