Isn't The Athletic a subscription service? Who's going to pay to read him?

Bo knew Holly would say yes.

Congratulations to Bo and Holly on their engagement. in a few years we may have some little Bo's floating around.
BoHoHo?
Holly's about to become HoHo, once they have a kid you can call the trio HoHoHo.

It'll hurt losing a couple 1st rounders..

but gaining Karlsson to attack with Boeser and Pettersson is insane.
Not to mention being the perfect mentor for Hughes.

Re: Francesco Ballard

I forget all the minutia but suffice to say that Stan McCammon was not the nicest guy to deal with. Wasn't it Stan McCammon who told Quinn to call Gretzky in the middle of the night to give him a take it or leave it offer? Re: Canucks Contracts

Lol, yeahno, you don't get to dis-include Draisaitl my friend! McDave got $12.5M X 8... but he's at least 50% better than Boeser. Eichel got $10 X 8... but he's 25% better. Draisaitl got $8.5 X 8... we're getting warmer. Your boy Pastrnak only got $6.66M-per but that's only a 6-year contract ... YU...

The good thing about having owners with deep pockets is they'd approve of trading for Erik Karlsson and hell even Ryan, just so the price would go down asset wise from the Canucks end. The aquabros love exciting hockey. & how the Redwings had the Russian 5, we'd have the Swede5. Dahlen-Pettersson-E...

Re: the paranoia of the canuck fanbase

Issues with Canucks fanbase can be credited to the local media. Most "fans" regurgitate what they hear there and don't have opinions of their own.

Re: The 2018 NHL Entry Draft

Hopefully you are correct. I get the hype on him, but do worry about his size. Erik Karlsson was listed at 5'11" / 165lbs his draft year Quinn is listed at 5'10" / 178lbs He's coming in as an offensive defenceman, if he were listed as a defensive defenceman there would be cause to worry about size.

Expanding on my thought from the last thread about Taveres. Lets say the Canucks had planned to offer Brock a 8 x 6 m salary = 48m all together. While they have a ton of cap space offer him 15m on a one year deal and then 7 years at 5m = 50m all together (or 8 years). That way his cap hit is reduce...

Canucks re-sign Granlund 1 year / 1.475 mil

Still an RFA next year, hoping he has a bounce back season so next contract is still under Van's control.

Re: Around the league (signings, RFAs injuries)

Tired of trading away former 1st round picks, Chiarelli today confirmed they are dangling the 10 OA for a top rated Dman. Said they have had talks with a few teams but the price is high, higher than just the 10 OA. Nobody wants to do EDM any favours. Trade with OTT makes too much sense, but Karlsso...

Trotz to NYI

If they play their cards right with the 11th and 12th overall picks, Tavares ain't going anywhere.
