Re: GDT 20-02-18: Canucks vs Avs

Goldobin ... and Jake compliment each other. It's great for team rapport that they give each other compliments when deserved, but more importantly, they complement each other on the ice. LOL. Thanks Per By the way Per, is it true Germany beat the Swedes? http://canuckscorner.com/forums/viewt...

Re: 2018 Winter Olympics - PyeongChang

It was a good move to the net by the German to score in OT. A was a little unfortunate that Fasth appears to sweep it in himself in an attempt to get his glove on the rebound shot. Do you think this German team has a good chance against Canada? Interesting to see the Czechs find success in the shoo...

Re: 2018 Winter Olympics - PyeongChang

 Sweden loses to Germany in overtime. Yeah. I said they should have gone with youth. Like Elias Pettersson. :hmmm: Instead they built a team that could play defence but had no offensive skills whatsoever. Oh well. And the Finns are also eliminated. At least their women medalled. Ours ...

Re: Elephant in the Room - Trade the Sedins

Everyone wants to see the team move on from the Sedin years, but it should happen organically and if they do decide to hang ‘em up this season that might leave too big a gap to fill next season. I’m not sure I like the idea of Sutter, Eriksson and Del Zotto being the go-to mentors starting next fal...

Re: 2018 Winter Olympics - PyeongChang

Sweden beats Finland to win the group. 3-1, with the empty-netter. Very physical game. A lot of emotion. I can see that Pettersson might have had problems with his light frame. Yet I miss his shot and smarts on the power play. Sweden are aught for twelve on the power play in this tournament. You hea...

Article on Jonathan Dahlén showing that same fierce loyalty the Sedins have, putting the team ahead of himself:

Re: What to do about the Sedins? (Poll)

spritziest   Yeah, well, the Swedish word was "piggaste" which is the superlative of the adjective "pigg", which is not really a typical hockey word. Other offered meanings would be sprightly, vivacious, lively, brisk or peppy. Guess I could have gone with spirited, but I was trying to c...

Re: 2018 Winter Olympics - PyeongChang

Sweden beat Norway 4-0, but it's not much of a test. Neither will the game against Germany tomorrow be.
It's not till we face Finland on Sunday that we will get some idea of where the team stands.
